gonna have to bump this one.
right ive measured the plastic bit of hosing leading in the bottom of the air box. its approx 2.5" little bigger inside, so assuming 3" outside bore.
been to screwfix and they only do 100mm bore.
bit stuck now.
help again appreciated. doing my friggin head in
found this on ebay... any good, although not aluminium

- any suggestions where to get some from, online or a shop around scunny
- can use a couple cable ties to tie the piping to the air box hose, but no idea where the other end will tie too near the orange wedge.

another ideas popped into my noggin. rather than have the cold air feed leading to the orange wedge in the bumper, hows about i direct it into a foglight cover.
thought to myself, couple foglight covers and some decent looking aluminium hosing, with like a bung at one end to attach to the foglight cover.
but where to get them from. looks good, and the front of the car could be transformed with foggy covers. could i use a p1 fog cover or is it too big a hole

Think the fog light cover thing has been done before, so its a possibility.
I'd try and find the right size hosting, or try and make an adaptor so that it funnels the air into the smaller space...?

how do you mean mate. im honestly struggling to find either a 2.5" thick pipe to go inside the original plastic hose bit and into the bottom of the airbox, or a 3" thick to go over the outside of the hose and cable tie. eithers a possiblility... just cant find anything suitable.

Found some ducting pipe lying around at work a while back and did the exact same thing with mine..... removed resonator and ran the pipe from the airbox to the front bumper wedge.... been there a year now with no problems,am well aware of big puddles though.

Andy, I was in halfords this morning and saw that they sell the hose you are after. I think it was £7.99 for a metre, not sure of the diameter but looks about right. Also sell cold air feed kits,£25, a length of hose and two red alloy ends, again you'll have to check the size.
They are on the left near the K&N filters, the hose is in a case at the end of the same isle.
If you need a hand give me a call.
Chris
