my sti is all gen and was imported by a well know dealer and i love it alot more on it than uk cars. it has 72,000 on the clock and been in england since new. on a 99T was imported in 99 and chassis says 99 year. so i have never had a problem with the import

bought mine 5 years ago as a 58000 mile import (96 car/my97 model) it does seam strange that the fresh imports nowadays all seam to have 60k miles 
its sitting at about 110k now..
