No - they didn't actually enter UK airspace, they just approached it.... We and the Norweigians were closely monitoring them in INTERNATIONAL airspace that just happens to be patrolled by NATO.

Yeah I think we all got the fact they did not enter it, but the news had said so before!

Maybe reading a thread beforehand might help sometimes............

Can we send up XH558 after the next set of Bears? Might surprise them a bit.

Oh well... it said on the BBC news website (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6981541.stm), at about 4pm that they hadn't entered UK airspace - yet you still post at gone 6pm that they did!

Maybe reading the news that you're posting about beforehand might help sometimes..................

Can we not fly right in front of them, causing them to fly in our fighter's jet wash....and then light the big flamers kits on the back

Judging by the way they used to depth charge the hell out of their fjords when they thought a soviet sub had sneaked in I don't think they would tolerate any invasion into their airspace

They've restarted doing this because now Russia is super rich with oil and gas money they can afford the fuel to fly these aircraft. The fact that they couldn't afford the fuel 15 years ago shortly after the breakup of the USSR is the only reason they stopped these flights in the first place.

Sky"news" was saying that they did violate UK airspace (this afternoon's news), then again, their news is about as accurate as your and the "other" chap's spelling!

WTF is wrong with my spelling???? By my account, that makes the Sky News 'news' very accurate indeed....

They used to do it nearly every day, its only Pooty-poot trying to get a bit of extra respect from his subjects to improve his legacy.

It will at least give the F3 and Typhoon pilots something to do to ease their boring existence!
