pslewis is talking utter bollocks again
Barely a week ago the BBC news said...
One in four 'fails to save money'
One in four people fails to save any money at all and most who do use the cash for a holiday, a study suggests.
The Post Office research indicated that a third of people did save, but not on a monthly basis.
Just over a quarter of those who did not save said they had too many debts to pay and a fifth simply spent it all.
Office for National Statistics figures released in June showed Britons were saving proportionately less of their income than at any time for 50 years.
Howz the phone BTW??

So, pslewis, why not repeat what was said by Vicky Redwood from Capital Economics at three minutes and fifty seconds into the article, namely...
"...and in fact net saving across the economy as a whole is at it's lowest rate in over 50 years".
...or perhaps mention the graph that showed savings as a percentage of income plummeting by 50% since New Labour started screwing the economy.
Everyone can judge for themselves by clicking the "Saver Return" report at BBC NEWS | Programmes | Working Lunch | Friday's Working Lunch.

So, my first post:-
"Good news - the average individual saving is £81:43 a week - £353 a month.
Sounds quite a low amount?"
is absolutely SPOT-ON!! 2 minutes and 33 Seconds into the program ... Thanks for the conformation .... I couldn't find a link

This is the point where pslewis usually bottles out, or gets offensive......
...what's going to be this time I wonder.....?
Hold up - he's bucking the trend and playing a defensive move....

Its easy to pontificate but most of the guys on here dont have the income you allegedly have, for instance my £200 a month council tax and three kids.
So, if you are indeed able to save 2k a month, well done, I am pleased for you !
I would love to know more detail, nearly 80, still earning loads, it doesnt add up really.

Could I suggest you ignore my posts in future? Don't even read them? Certainly don't post on threads containing them .... as that could be considered an obsession with me (and thats not healthy!)

Again I repeat myself ..... to YOU it may be ****e, to someone else it may be useful - why should I change my personality to suit you??
This is a discussion BBS, if you don't want to discuss whats being discussed please leave it to those who wish to engage in a meaniful dialogue ..... why should you worry what others are talking about??
Place me on ignore and move on ..........

Youre so predictable Pedro.
In my experience, worthwhile people with a reasonable income, do not feel the need to constantly discuss it.....

When Pedro is in a corner, he has a very limited number of responses. 'Place me on ignore' is a favourite as it suggests that you are in the wrong and not him.
