As with most I brought my Impreza with the vision of Colin throwing one sideways through the forests of wales and the mountains abroad...If you ask anyone to name a famous rally driver Colin McRae will be the man they will name!
He was and is a legend and will stay that way forever
He will be sadly missed

I am struggling to come up with the right words at the moment. First Richard and now Colin. The two Subaru legends IMHO.
My heart goes out to his family on this very very sad day.
Colin you are a true hero.
RIP Mate . You will not be forgotten

Very very sad, I remember the 1995 Rally Gb, myself and and friend managed to get in his car as he pulled up to the time control at the end of the last stage and joined in with his celebrations woth Carlos and the team just up the road. Sad to think I will never get to see him compete again.
As tragic as it is, Colin had had a good life and acheived more than most, but the real tragedy of the story is that his son has died.
Geezer

Like many, I'm at a loss for words, not only for the loss of Colin, but also those who were with him. They will all be missed by many.
If anyone has photos of Colin, I've created a page over on my site where I'd like to add more image of him. I can't post a link to it here, but if you post a photo in this thread, or pm me, I'll add the photos.
Cheers
Dave

Colin you will be missed by us all.
It's thanks to Colin Scoobynet exists. (No disrespect webmaster)
Thoughts go out to his family.
He was a true rally legend, in my book he was the greatest.

Gutted. A sad day for so many. Just bought Dirt on the 360, but it does not feel right to play it now. Will take the scoob out for a drive instead. He was the inspiration for many scoob owners and PS2 owners. Love my car love my games but a little piece has gone. RIP.

An inspiring man.
Saw him on the RAC Rally years ago.
I was only there to watch him. He just blew you away.
Seemed to be a really nice guy too.
My deepest condolences to his family. Father and son, unbearable.
Just in shock.

Very, very, sad indeed.
Same as many people I’m sure, the main reason I’m driving a Subaru is down to having watched Colin in the early years and his driving ‘antics’ with the early Legacy’s and Impreza’s in the BRC and WRC.
Gutted that we’ll never be able to watch his driving again, which was always a real treat.
But foremost are condolences to Colin’s Wife, Daughter and the McRae family at their loss of Colin and his Son Johnny.
A true legend – “Nae Problem” - Rest in peace Colin
