Like many people on here Colin McRae was the reason i got into rallying and because of him i saved up the money to buy the car that he made iconic, he was a crowd pleaser with his driving style and such a talented rally driver.
Legends never die as they are never forgotten. RIP champ!

Gutted about this, makes me think of watching him on the rally gb (rac rally back then) up in sweet lamb, freezing cold, dark around 5.30pm his headlights come over the hill down into the complex as he hits the water splash the crowd noise and airhorns are defening, the skys lit up by fireworks. Excellent memories of an excellent driver.

I hope Subaru make a McRae edition. He is a true legend of the sport, and deserves some recognition of the commitment he made to Subaru over the years.

There was a classic shape series McRae car, and one hopes Subaru would honor him in the same way they did with Richard Burns by creating another special edition model
