Hi Ron, looks like a nice spec.
I think it would be good if you can post up a pic of the engine bay and chassis code number.
As a buyer, its not clear whether its an STi 4 with a 5 front end, or a 5 with headlights replaced etc. Just seems something isnt right but im sure can be explained. Once that's clear I think people will be less put off!

From what I can remember this was one of the very first production v 5's and was imported literally from new.
As mentioned before, importers tend to take the easy route in order to get it registered hence the standard UK tail lights.
Not sure on the headlights though? It never had the crystal ones as far as I know.
p.s. It's a fantastic example and I still have fond memories of fantastic drives through wales to scoobycamps etc etc..

Thanks chaps - not looking to buy just yet, was just trying to hep the thread a bit! I know the 4 and 5 inside out and seemed like a mix of both, but all explained now.
