Couldn't believe it mate Totally gutted for you when it went. Told you he would sort it out for you though.
Very strange that it keeps coming loose though
Punctures.....fact of life I'm afraid....you can go months without one and then get them every outing for the next few, luck of the draw really. Helps to carry a puncture repair kit/spare innertube and a small pump.

I fitted these green liner things inside Josh's Tyres, the reduce the risk of getting Punchers, I don't think he's had one since I fitted them about 8 Months ago...

The Slime Liners are the best option I found, you can buy tyres with it built in, but they are rather pricey, plus you can transfer these into new tyres when they need to be replaced

Who was it who said it will be back in the shed after 10 mins ?
Well you was correct , That's where it is now , Looking a little sorry for itself
It all started so well , 5 Mins into the ride a little uphil muddy/ Slippery section , I Give it a little beanz & SNAP !!
Yep i sheared the 10mm Allen key bolt in half & the pedal fell off
So there i'am wheeling it back up the hill i had just rolled down
Get the bike back to Les , Replaces the bolt ( Never seen nothing like that before !! )
So we return home & head down to the sea wall , 10 Mins into the ride & the pedal seems lose again , This time the bolt was still in place & just needed tightning , Though i have no allen key bolt big enough to tighten it
So walk it back again 2 Miles from home this time , Get the jet wash out & clean it / Dry it / Lube the chain etc ..
Only to notice that both fooking tyres are punctured !!!
What a great start , I Call Les who advises a little threadlock on the bolt ( I Will get an allen key tomm to fit ) With the help of Fozz on the phone i removed both wheels , These will be repaired loccally tommorow
So hopefully i will be back in the saddle on Wednesday
I WILL BE BACK
Sounded like you guys & girl had a great time though

Tiny don't let these things put you off, I had plenty of punctures until I got the green slime liners mentioned above Slime Atb 26 Inch Tyre Liner for £13.99 | Slime Puncture Kits And Levers | Cycle | Wiggle(had to wheel it all the way back from althorne once ), just slide them in between the inside of the tyre and the inner tube and they should stop most of the thorns getting through . The pedal thing can be just put down to a but of running in I'm sure.

Will the slime you mention fit into my tyres ?
This is my tyre spec ~ Tire :WTB Prowler MX Comp, 26” x 2.1" (49/52)
The wheels are being taken down to the cycle shop in Burnham tomm ( I Have not repaired a puncture in 20 years & do not really feel like tackling it , It was a big decision for me to remove the wheels , ( Disk brakes etc .. )
Whilst @ the shop i will ask for it to be repaired using the slime that you all mention
Thanks again

Yep, these guys really know what they are talking about and no hard sell.
Les's Cycles Canvey Island Essex United Kingdom - Bicycles and Accessories
The website may not look much but the guys in the shop are proper cycle enthusiasts and really know their stuff. They also carry much more stock than what they show on the website.
Official dealers for Scott and Marin among others......would highly recommend them!

Personally I like a slightly smaller frame. I went for a 17" frame. I tried lot's of different bikes on various size frames and this one just felt right.
Try different sizes and see which you prefer, the guide charts for what size frame you "should" ride is just that....a guide and isn't always the best for your riding style etc.
Tiny also ended up with a size smaller than "recommended" by the size chart, but once again, it felt comfortable and that's the main thing.
You will be surprised at how different bikes can feel to ride, I know I certainly was.

Of course mate.
I went to the cyclesUK store in Grays. The guy in there was fairly knowledgable with a lot of stock at pretty good prices, first impressions were good, but I wasn't allowed out of the shop to test ride the bike and he insisted that a 21" frame wasn't too big for me , when it clearly was. Pity, but it really felt he just wanted to shift the stock in his store.
I like good aftersales service too and that's what I've had from the store I got my bike. First service is free and any adjustments to brake cables or gear cables (when they initially stretch as all new cables will) is all free too.
This may be the same at lots of other stores too, I'm just reporting on the one I chose after trying quite a few in the area

Very important to get the right size frame, having it to large in relation to your size not only makes it heavier but it also makes it harder to handle.
I'm 6ft 3 and ride a 19" in MTBs, it gives me a lot more room to get back off of the saddle on steep decents & enables u to really push into corners as u can move about more (much like riding a fast motorbike, you can really move your weight about to help with the cornering)

Yes mate , should fit in no problem , it's just like a roll of flexable rubbery plastic that sits inside your tyre , it wont stop things getting through the sidewall , but as I said it should stop most of the thorns . You can also get slime filled inner tubes too , where the slime gloop seals the hols when you pull the thorn out , but I've found the liners have worked so far

Update ...
Took both wheels to the cycle shop in Burnham today , Is going to replace / Repair both inner tubes & also fit the green slime @ the same time & i get them back tommorow
The guy in the shop swears by this stuff as well , We shall see

Yeah i would normally tackle anything myself .
I was even reluctant to move the wheels in case i done somthing wrong , I Have not repaired a puncture for well over 20 years mate ,Ideally i would like to sit & watch one of you guys just as a refresher before attempting it again myself
So if you get a puncture give me a shout
Plus i can pick them up tommorow & get out for my evening ride around the villiage
I Do hope that you are going to join us soon ?, You sound good
