Juggers.

I really like the S204 (the only Impreza that could keep me a Subaru owner) and could be very interested in the one you have.

First. Fuel. Has the car been remapped for UK fuel? Or would I, A) have to have it remapped, or B) have to add octane booster at every fill up (not what I want TBH).

Secondly. Gearing. As it's a Japanese spec car, is the S204 geared for 110mph only, or are they geared just like my UK STI?

Thirdly. Are test drives available for serious enquiries?

The new age ecu's are more then capable of retarding the ignition so you don't really need a remap. When you say gearing i take it you mean restricted to 110mph?.... if so then all our cars come derestricted.
Test drives are available for genuine parties, but at the moment the car is provisionally sold. If for some reason it falls through then i will be in touch.

Why would anyone spend £20-30K on a performance car and for the want of £500 hamstring it's performance. Coping with the fuel as knock control is different to the classic ECU is completely different to optimising for local fuel.

My Spec C was remapped and produces execllent figures, especially torque, which I am confident an unmapped Spec C would not even get close to.

Rannoch.

My Spec C came from PCM as is so no remap. On a RR it got close to 300bhp on UK fuel which seems OK. It's now had a few mods + a remap & should be running way more than the original 300bhp. The PCM cars are generally cheaper than other well known importers so you could use the difference to get a remap if you wanted to.

I guess you'll have to ask that to the chaps who are buying the cars. Most people 99% who buy these cars will bang on an exhaust and have it remapped 4 weeks after so it's not much of an issue to them.

In terms of performance i would imagine your v-ltd to be on parr with the S204 and slightly behind compared to the RA-R.

I terms of refinement the S204 wins hands down.
Can the brakes from the ra-r be got handy enough?

Yes you can get them from the dealer in japan, but i think you would be better of with a set of AP's as they do the same job and will most likely be cheaper.
