Good, glad to hear things are well for you, hope you find another house soon, but then im sure Tam will be welcoming if you can put up with him

Things are going ok, Donna has got gestational diabetes, so its fortnightly checkups and scans, and 5 times daily blood tests for her blood sugar levels, and she will have to be induced no matter what at 38 weeks

I'm trying DCI, tbh, most of the cigs I light now tend to burn away with me only taking a few short draws, think it's just the habit of having one in my hand when walking the dog etc, if you know what I mean

Went for my pre-admission appointment today, which went well, although thought I was gonna hit the roof when she said she needed a blood sample ,however it wasn't really that bad Although I must have sweated a gallon of sweat whilst she took it lol, Apparently it seems, apart from the wee jobbie in my throat I'm a pretty healthy person

Dunno if it's related, but recently I'm having really strange dreams, maybe my brain blocking things out, I dunno.. Last nights dream was, I'm sitting in the livingroom with Homer Simpson having a chat, he was opening a large Toblerone (sp) and yacking away, there was a cat meowing in the background and he turned to me and said, 'If that cat doesn't shut the **** up, I'm going to shove this Toblerone up it's ar*e" I actually woke myself and her indoors up laughing!!! Maybe I'm just going nuts?

Thanx again for all the thoughts, help and support guys, it' so appreciated :respect:

Ok, dunno really why I was bricking it, all went really well today

The feeling of the anesthetic is deffo the best bit, anyway I got a camera shoved down my throat, turns out My Jobbie has a few wee pals there too (about 6 to be exact) Biopsies were taken from them all, I'll find out for sure if they are malignant on Tuesday next week. Doctor is pretty sure it is the big C, but as it has been found so early on that 4weeks+ of Radio therapy will be enough to cure it completely and I'll regain my voice almost 100% There will be no surgery required

So I'm home feeling very positive, not really looking forward to having to go to Edinburgh for a month, but hey it could have been so much worse, obviously the smoking WILL stop for good, so I'll save a fortune too, win win situation I'm feeling slightly tired and like I've been eating raw cactus, other than that I'm fine, much happier than I've been for a while too.

Once again a HUGE thanks to you guys , Obviously I'll keep you updated on how things go

I'd like to hear from anyone who has had radio therapy (If you prefer by PM to save dragging this thread to the top constantly, that's cool) just so I can find out from others what to expect..

Thanx again guys, Scoobynet really is the greatest forum on earth.

Best way to be is to be high spirited about it as much as you can be, and look at the positives

No more smoking
Caught early enough (if indeed the Big C)
RT not as bad as Chemo (trust me on that one)

Hope everything goes well and the results are not too disheartening come tuesday

Tam,

Lots of respect for the attitude in the face of Cancer, good luck with the treatment. As well as stopping smoking, find a good regime to keep your energy up during the treatment.

Well the stopping smoking is going pretty well, had a few puffs on a ciggy earlier and it was boggin lol

I've got my appointment at the Western general in Edinburgh tomorrow afternoon, they'll tell me exactly what treatment they are going to go for, I suspect it will be Radio (fingers crossed) and how long it will go on for etc. I'm looking forward to lunch at Saigon Saigon too, possibly the best Chinese restaurant in the world

I'll let you know how it goes
