You may get a car lenth but as soon as that bike back wheel has grip buy buy what ever your driving!

Unless your car looks like an over sized audi TT with 4 turbos and 1000bhp that is or mates with lewis hamilton
Totally agree with you guys. My CBR1000RR Fireblade has whooped many cars including Porsche 911s and a Ferrari. No car has ever been close to me when we have had a play, it has always been a bye bye situation!!!

Car don't stand a chance, my bike is just over a 1000bhp/per ton, it weighs 176kg and has 183bhp.

Most Supersport bikes i.e. 600cc's will whoop most performance cars.

All Superbikes i.e Fireblade/R1/GSXR1000/ZX10 will beat anything, just depends on how big your ***** are.

Currently have a 748, and have owned a 916 in the past as well as various CBR's ZXR's etc... can say that any half decently ridden bike will beat an Impreza, either from a standing start, or from a rolling start.

Its just down to power to weight - look how much power a modern sportsbike makes, and how much it weighs, then compare this to the Impreza.

What I would say though, is that standing starts on Ducatis are tricky - for one you have a very torquey V twin, and if you just dump the clutch you are likely to flip it, also Duc clutches are a bit iffy on a lot of bikes. On mine you need to do a lot of clutch slipping if you are at low revs otherwise the bike will stall.

The scooby may pull away slightly quicker from the start until the bike gets rolling, but then the bike will win easily.

I would agree with the 'lost him in the twisties' part though - on a track a car would have no chance, but on badly surfaced roads a 4WD car is going to be quicker than a biker unless he is very skilled or has a deathwish.

I think i know what you're talking about, but come on, do explain, give links.

And as for racing the bikes. Use launch control and head for the B Roads as fast as you can.

.
I had a Race Prep'ed 999 for a day to use in a photoshoot... It had a dry clutch setup that superman would have got a sore hand from opperating, front brakes that would be at home and a sherman tank and a rear brake that feels like it should have been on a Raliegh Chopper.. Front wheel didnt like being on the ground on standing starts lol!

Was an absoloute nightmare to drive on the road.. Opened her up on the Motorway...

He was a very good member on here who attended many meets and events. All discussion threads about the accident were removed at the request of his family and legal team.
He ended up serving his time although evidence cast much doubt on whether he was actually involved.

Is the bike really that light? Assume it is then you do need to add your weight &/or a passenger which kills the power to weight ratio way more than the same effect in a car. No doubt that the bike is still powerful however (a) you've got to launch it well (b) stop the rear spinning up under mental power (c) stay on it up to silly speeds ie have big cahunas (d) brake well with only a small contact patch (e) you will lose out big time in the bends Chances are you won't pull this together every time. Then throw in some bends, wind & rain ie real world conditions ... you won't have these issues in a car.

As previous post I'm certainly not saying that I can beat a sports bike every time ... there will always be a chance that I can though!

How do Moto GP bikes fare against F1 cars?

What you asked at the end of how do F1 bikes fare to Moto GP Bikes???

A better qustion whould be how does an F1 car fare to any other road car, racing car, you name it! Unless it's a drag car or jet car nothing can beat an F1 car

Default f1

i thimk it was top gear a while back or one of those shows put an f1 car up against a race bike.not a full motogp bike but i think it was rutters british superbike(which really means it started as a road bike)from memory the bike killed the car upto around 150mph before the car started to reel it in

scoobs are fast cars no doubt about that......but thats the main thing.there fast for a car.

theres rapid cars.fast cars.supercars.one off cars...

or you can spend £4000 and buy a bike like a busa.200 mph.0-60 in prob under 3 secs.

diff strokes for diff folks

^^ It's good fun wiping the smirk from the bikers faces though or at least their grin is slightly less wide as they give it some beans
