i have been taking my time with halo as i know its a bit short, it took me about 30 mins last night to kill that fooken scarab thing
"try and get on its back chief"
i was up the elevator thing but could never make the jump, the G/F was doing coursework on the pc so i couldnt google it
after about 30mins the scarab thing came close enough to the crane so i could make the jump, nobody on board as everybody was dead, and the thing was still stomping about
very strange!

Anybody know how to unlock the multiplayer armour as i keep coming up against opponents online who pawn me (i blame the armour and i'm sticking to that story )
I was told it was by getting all 13 skulls but i got them all, this unlocks the Hybuska (sp) armour and not the online one.

You need to shoot at a large panel (red or blue),3 ways to get them -
1) shoot the legs to make it crouch down then jump into the back.
2) Jump on it from somewhere high, or land a vehicle on it.
3) just keep shooting at the back of it, eventually the protective panel will be destryed and you can destroy the control panel.
First one I came across on normal, the marines did it for me.
You might not like the Ark level very much...

tried a few shots at the legs, but gave up as i thought it wasn't making a difference ?
it just stomped about for ages, maybe the marines shot the legs for me?
anyway i got on by going up the elevator and taking a running jump , although as said previous, there was nobody on board as i had sniped a few and the marines must have sorted the rest out

Buried beneath all this success is word that Microsoft and Halo creator Bungie Studios may part company. Be still my heart! Rumors about this began circulating earlier this week when the Seattle Post-Intelligencerand Game Informerstarted writing about a rift of some kind between the two. Game Informer suggested that Bungie was no longer interested in creating any new Halo games; Microsoft, its parent, had different ideas.
But here's the rub: if the two do split, Microsoft retains the rights to the Halo franchise, and will also have first refusal on any future titles that may come from Bungie. That could be interesting if Bungie ever wants to design games for Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's Wii, or if Hollywood gets involved and finally produces and releases Halo as a feature film.
This is certainly worth watching: Microsoft snapped up Bungie back in 2000 and the partnership has been key in generating excitement and interest in the various versions of the Xbox. With the Halo trilogy at an end, this might be a perfect time for the two to party company. Me? From the two people I'm talking to inside Bungie, I'm expecting a new kind of partnership between the two and not a wholesale break-up.

The online component to all this cannot be understated, either. The 2.7 million Halo 3 players on Xbox Live! represents a third of the 7 million registered Xbox Live! members globally. Within that first day, players spent 3.6 million hours competing against each other online. The number swelled to 40 million hours at the end of that first week, and the game-play has driven a record number of the higher priced Xbox Live! Gold memberships.

I was on halo Wednesday night online with around 650000 people playing, pretty impressive numbers.

I got all the skulls plus the 4 hidden "secret" ones, just need to finish legendery now!
My mate has completed the game, full 1000 gamerscore off it and now he has a sword everytime he spawns.
But trust me, i still get owned with the armour lol. Im sick to death of running towards people while shooting a full clip into them only to be beat down with no bullets fired at me atall, whats that all about!!!!!

from someone who has never played the previous Halo's i thought it was ****e to be honest, nothing new, infact whilst playing it i thought to myself, "i've played this before!" but it was actually the original Unreal back in the good old days.
What a useless piece of tripe game! Bioshock is much better more fun.

Having said that, I think Elite's being slightly bigger than Spartan's make for a bigger target...
PS - health bar goes down quicker with headshots...

bob - yes, you can do them in any order you like but you must also watch the "arrival" opening cutscene.
RB5 Black - they're easy if you know how - take a second account in and play on co-op. Select free-for-all as the scoring system and activate the following skulls - Fog (removes radar) Famine, Iron & Tough Luck. You should hit the magic 15000 pts well before the end of the level. The reason I say use a 2nd account and play as splitscreen is because the Tough Luck skull removes checkpoints, if you get killed you get sent back to the start, but if in co-op you're only sent back to the checkpoint of the other player.
I've been doing it on normal and had no trouble amassing the necessary pts, even if the time multiplyer drops all the way down to 1x.
Been using this method to do the first 6 levels and its worked a treat each time.

Another way if you are playing solo is to play on easy with 5-6 skulls enabled. It's basically hard to die on easy so go for plenty of melee's and keep an eye on the clock for the 3x mulitplier.
Just got 19k on Sierra 117

ah but a bit more room to play with always helps - I've noticed the amount I'm clearing them by decreasing as the levels go on - did the Ark and the time multiplyer went out of the window, needed 50K and I managed 78K...Covenant is supposed to be one of the trickiest, but the one I'm not looking forward to is Cortana - I absolutely hated being in the Flood ship even on 4 player co-op...

Yeah ok i'm kinda admitting defeat now, after falling short on the last 2 levels i've tried, mainly down to the shocking AI drivers tho, they must waste 5mins trying to get where you need to go, few occasions had to jump off the gun and get in the driving seat just to point them in the right direction

You can drive and still get the points for the AI gunner - thankfully.
At least that way you can seek cover when the sheilds are low.

Some skulls only appear briefly, or by doing certain things, they also make the game a lot harder so you enable as few as possible, just enough to give you enough boost to get the required score per level when playing the campaign meta levels

Most of the skulls are really well hidden. They do things like remove the motion radar, give enemies more armour etc, so thats why you dont switch them on...
You might think you're searching everywhere but I can only think of one thats at ground level. Do a youtube search as there's loads of video's showing their locations, you'll then realise just how sneaky some of them are, and some are a total b!tch to get to.
Played a ranked game with a mate of mine last night, there was 8 of us mostly ranking between 3 & 7, except this lad, EXP 199, Skill level 42 I made the mistake of killing him right at the start, so he just made a direct route to me for the rest of the match...needless to say he ripped me a new arsehole

so you get points if your ai guys get a kill? done the first level coop on legendary, may have lost 2000 or so by dying numerous times but just made 10k so it does sound like you need a skull enabled
