Not weighed Tuvaaq for a few weeks, but no time like the present

Its so cool to meet another owner from the litter.
Any pics?
HolyGhost, to be different, to have a dog that suited the time and attention we could give it, and because they are good outside dogs as well as inside.
As for the theft thing, he is kept secure, soon to be monitored on CCTV and is chipped and insured. Not much more we can do
![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
And hows this....19kg dead too !

Back to his normal loving self
![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Which is a relief now. Last nights walk was excellent, and he settled straight after it
![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Day after day we are more and more sure we made SUCH the right decision.
Only glad I listened to the users on IceBayMals now

But when the occasional accident happens, I know exactly what you mean. His hind claw on front paws is scary
![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)
Getting him off for a wash and groom soon so will get his claws clipped etc.
I did take a paw to the face the other day, just as I was waking up, that was not pleasent.

Tuvaaq learnt a long time ago that clawing and biting arms and hands is NOT allowed ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

She thinks shes the boss at the moment and my girlfriend is being fantastic with training her.. I'm too loving to be a trainer... even though its best for the dog.. I have to sit quietly

Time for a quick update on the lil fella.
Now approx 7 months old, still growing a little, and turning into a little man now. Had his first pissy fit the other night, so got put in his place.
Very good over all, still needs a little obedience, but all in all he is super. Best decision I ever made.
He is so good on the lead I can just about walk him with one arm (the wrong one lol)
So here he is. He grew as I shrunk.

Thinking of possibly getting him a little playmate in the summer. Just a thought at the mo.
If you do decide to buy one, just remember one word.... "Furminator"

i'll have a large please lol
tbh though were wondering at the min if we want to go down the route.
problem is were both out at work from 7.30am till 6pm and it wouldn't be fair to him/her, so we'd have to sort something out about that if we did

Tuvaaq has grown to be fine with being left alone, but then it helps having the run in the back garden etc.
As long as they get the attention and exercise they need, being away it not such a big deal. But the 11 hours or so might be a little too much, especially with having a puppy.

yeah, when its young is our biggest concern.
i think if we think long and hard about it we'll realise that as much as we want one and would love it to bits, look after it etc, our current situation wouldn't be best for it.
but having said that the mrs wants to look for a new job, which may change timings a bit

But yeah he is a big fella
Didn't choose him so to speak, he was chosen for us by the breeder.
Being different breeds thats hardly suprising now is it

I love those 'husky' type of dogs. Do they do a mini version though? ![Lol1](images/smilies/lol1.gif)
My wife and I are in the same position as Tidgy, we'd love a dog but neither of us could get home during the day and I just don't think it's fair to leave a pup for that long on it's own

Bah, "husky type"
He is a Malamute
But I know what you mean ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for "small" Smallest would be the husky really, but even they are rather powerful dogs to say the least.
Their behaviour is most peoples gripes. Very loving but very strong willed.
Fair play for making the right decision about situation being righ tor wrong. Some breeds are better than others for being left alone for periods of time.

There's a difference in the sex too. I said to Pimmo before buying to get a male, they are larger and actually look more masculine as a rule. My male GSD was bigger than your Mal at this age and is bigger now at 18 months. Oh, then there's the food but we won't go there. ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
He's looking lovely.

Really!! Tell me more, age, sex, breeder etc lol
They are fantastic dogs, but as most say, not for the first time dog owner and unprepared.
Best of luck, look forward to seeing some pics

lol@ lapdog, certainly is, but it does not suit him somehow

Jay. He gained almost at the same rate I lost. But he has carried on gaining now.
Just been out for a mad half hour with him. Seems to love jumping in the pond at almost 11pm! Doh
