as for cut and shut dogs yes maybe he is but was well aware of this, nothing hiden from us all was upfront from them.
i also no that they do not show but as i disagree with showing dogs that suits me just fine
to me a dog is for company and enjoyment not for parading round a show ground going mines better than yours
personly the best dogs i have owned (and peeps i know)have all been "heinz 57" ie cross breeds, sorry if you do not agree but thats life
and no i'm not shi*y i took onboard all that you have said but made my own choice and thanks for all input on this

Fair play mate, and im glad its all worked out ok.
The whole showing thing, its not bad NOT to show dogs, but the dame and sire tend to get observed at shows, so its a great demonstration of their temprement etc. This is why most breeders show the breeding dogs, so people can see some history etc.
Same way its not bad to do your own servicing, but a dealer history tends to be the prefered thing.
Anyway, onwards and upwards.... pictures please lol
Like I said on PM, my gallery is there if you need it

spoon I agree no mention of any eye testing which are badly needed, its no good looking at mom and dad. i hope for your sake this dog turns out alright read some of the horror stories on the other forums and see for yourself. its nothing to do with showing its about buying from health tested stock like a car with an MOT. You have just bought a dog with NO MOT as they say good luck with it I hope you havent been stitched up and didnt pay more the 300 quid for it.

I'll always discourage anybody from buying an unknown quantity!! To some people dogs are dogs/companions, whatever you want to call them but that should never detract from the importance of years and years of breed development already acquired. Then somebody comes along and gets an idea to mess with that history not knowing the outcome and unfortunately there are always people like you willing to buy these creations.
I don't doubt you'll give the dog a good home if you say so but that is far from the issue.
Enjoy him.

I haven't listened to anyone here that had concerns. Showing (although I dont do it myself, the Mrs does though) is about preserving a breed and breed to the breed standard so that a breed doesnt deviate away from what it should look like. It has nothing to do with snobbery or who has a better dog, it's about showing breeding dogs to prove they are healthy and worthy !
As for having dogs in clean conditions, that has nothing to do with not being a puppy farmer and everything to do with keeping up appearances. How do you know those dogs are happy. Just because they way their tails might be because they havent seen anyone for ages !! Breeding is about being ethical and having morals and reasons for doing what you are doing and those people have none.
All you have done is funded another litter for them, good job

What they dont realise is that even pets should come from health tested parents and be just as worthy as non pets, afterall, they're all the same price !

Not being funny here folks, but I am currently looking for a dog.
The ONLY person I would trust for advice and guidance is Spoon. Take it on board, he knows his stuff

I agree in principle and there's not that much difference in puppy prices but guys I deal with daily often spend several thousands on a trained dog and dare I say it as much as $65,000 is spent by wealthy people who are actually as clued up as a novice and think they are getting more than a good $15,000 dog because of it's bigger price tag.

He does seem to know what he's on about.
Another thing is anyone else looking for a Malamute or one of the other designer breeds, these people make, will see this thread and their website, so keeping their link on here isn't the best idea in the world !
'b road blaster' if you do nowt else about this, could you please remove the link from your earlier post to their site as it's not a reputable, ethical breeder and therefore not a good advertisement for anyone else looking for a healthy, well bred pup !

COOKIE UPDATE
07-02-08 Here is Cookie. She is 2 years old and a Huskamute. She is not lead trained as where she lived before had plenty of space for her to run and play so they did not walk her on a lead. Her previous owners, who breed this breed, want her to find a loving pet home as they decided not to breed her. She is very good condition and has come from spotless kennels.
21-02-08 FOSTER UPDATE
Cookie has learnt to play ball and is walking really well on the lead. She now seems to want our company but does need more socialising as this world is different to what she has known. However, she is slowly adapting well. For those wanting to help a very sweet girl with her education and who are familiar to this sort of a dog she would be the one for you.
