Bikes are miles easier with the chase cam - to be honest, best way to learn them is to play MotoGP...
You've really got to take a wide line with them, no diving down the inside with them unless you want to go into the wall afterwards.

Forza rewards you if you are prepared to put the time into it, PGR will reward you from the off.
So it depends on you perosnal taste really, do you prefer a perhaps longer lived, mor einvolved "sim" or a more immediatley gratifying arcade style racer.
If you pushed me to choose one, it would probably be PGR4. There wouldn't be much in it mind.

Always played with the d-pad, until Test Drive came along anyway... thats what about 10 years of Gran Turismo does to you.

I'd say the team were watching Ocean's 11 when they came up with the idea for the red, white & black menu's.
Just finished the career rank 1, must say i'm enjoying it so far, got most of the achievements out of the way so i can now concentrate on Arcade Platinum.
It plays the same as the previous pgrs which is good, graphically its come leaps and bounds since pgr3, the cities have much more depth and character even down to the grime in the brickwork, much better than pgr3's flat faced rectangles with jgps pasted on to them.
I'm liking the 22b especially in the rain and snow, great for some superstar/kudos points, the puddles seem a little too slippery in any other car tho, i think they are using cheap remoulds instead of michelin's.
Wasn't sure how well the bikes were going to work but they handle really well, as stated use the chase cam on bikes.
As for the menu music, you can mute it in the options if you don't like it, same with the game music which is just as annoying as pgr3.
For anyone still unsure about the first impressions, play it again, once past the crappy amatuer cars, things improve vastly.
We all loved GT but you gotta move on..... D-Pad!

Its better than Forza 2, but I'm undecided whether or not its better than PGR3 - they've changed the steering from d-pad to left stick and ditched one of the bumper cams so its feeling a little awkward for me at the minute - just needs time I reckon.
New tracks are fantastic.

Had a Bulldog thing last night using bikes on the Michelin Test Track. Never had to much childish fun on a racing game in years, it gave the same kind of buzz as Mario Kart Battle did on the SNES all those moons ago.

I've been playing a lot now and it does get better. you need to brake way more than other PGR's if you hotlapping and the cars have a lot more oversteer than previous versions.

The amount of to55ers online is rediculous - my advice is, just take them out before they take you out...
Shame really, Nordschleife Drivers Club seemed to attract a better class of driver...

Played a team race today and it was just a smash fest. I had to try really hard to get clear of them and win by 30 seconds

Kind of lost interest too - really struggling with the superstar events on the bikes - rediculously hard, the tracks just arent wide enough.

I've completed all the superstar ones on the bike. Just wait until you do the race at macau on a bike that XJ220 is just too fast in a straight line you have to block him to win it.
#142
I'm just working thru my bike medals and found the 2 superstar events a lot easier in the bike than the car, use the F800 S (BMW) bike and you will do it easily. Just remember if you score more than 500 it only counts 5 stars so stop your drifts at 500, this then gives you a 1 star additional bonus to start of your next set of drifts.

you only need to complete on Car OR Bike to get the Arcader points. I couldn't do the ring in the wet on a bike race. Mind you neither can anyone else looking at the scoreboard for it !!
#144
Damn, oh well, nearly got all the bike medals now, just a couple of the car ones i can't get so maybe i'll try for those.

however, trying to get me to remove the Orange box from my console will end in failure - you will be "minced"
I need that cake...

Anybody know if there's any dlc planned, specifically any tournaments etc.
I've almost finished the arcade and will hopefully have the 1000g this week, not to bothered about playing online as its bumper cars, otherwise i'll be selling it/trading it

Really struggling to get to grips with this game. Trying to pick lines through corners is very random to me. It's such a random layout in terms of how it plays. I knew what to expect but I think Froza has spoiled me. I'm going to stick with it a bit longer but I can see me selling this very quickly.

Ok,here's a little challenge.
Go to Single player, time trial.
City - Quebec
Route - Rampart Run
Weather - Dry
Car - Caterham R500
Post up your best times.
If anyone wants to grab my ghost and beat it my Xbox live name is Bugeyeandy
I'm not the fastest on there but put in a half-decent lap for you all to beat!
