Fantastic photos from everyone that has posted, just reading this thread and seeing the photos brought a lump to my throat and a tear. Everyone that ventured up to Scotland did Colin McRae, his son and the family proud.

Very proud to be part of this day. The sight of the convoy running through the clyde valley was just incredible, scoob's as far as you could see ahead and behind, people out waving and other cars pulling over to watch and allow us to travel together. Well done everyone, a very proud moment for all subaru owners.
The noise from this line of cars really was something to hear
I think the run to Prodrive is a great idea and the sooner the better
Did anyone manage to video the convoy for you tube at all, as it would be a lasting memory of the day and good for those who couldn't make it, to see? A bit late to think of I know, just hoping someone did.
Rest in peace Colin, Johnny and friends.

A huge thanks to Ali B and Grant for their organising and working with others to organise our contribution to yesterdays event.
The convoy filled me with pride and I had a lump in my throat as we drove in convoy from Happendon to Lanark through villages and passed people who had stopped @ the side of the road just to acknowledge our effforts.
As for the Service it was a very fitting and emotional tribute to one of Scotlands greatest, his son and their friends
I didnt take any pics today but there are some great memorys being posted up here
You were ALL a credit to Subaru owners across the country. Well done everyone
135 scoobies left Happendon and there were just over 150 parked at the Mart.
Credit to those who travelled a long distance to be there today and safe home.
See someone even got a pic of my Forester

Well done to all involved, it just shows how much one person meant to a lot of people. This was a fitting send off to Colin McRae and his young son Johnny along with thinking about the other families that lost their loved ones in this tragic accident.

Although it was a very sad occasion that brought us all together, it was a very memorable day that will stay with me for a very long time.
I'd just like to express a huge word of thanks to:
- All of those who made things happen on the day - Grant, Imy, Ally-B and others, Strathclyde police, Lanarkshire council amongst many others.
- Those who attended the event, some driving very long distances to get there. Your attendance was very much appreciated.
The speeches, videos, photos and music were very moving, and at times there was barely a dry eye amongst the crowd where I was standing, though I was very pleased that there were many humourous anecdotes and stories as well. I was particularly moved by Dave Richards and Ari Vatanen who gave very personal insights of Colin throughout his career.
The event was a very fitting tribute to a true hero and legend.
I have uploaded some of my photos here:
McRae Celebration Service - a photoset on Flickr
I have not had time to do any post processing on most of these to adjust brightness/contrast etc., but I'll do this over the coming days.
Apologies if I didn't get a photo of your car - I had to run to my own car after about half the convoy went through to avoid getting left behind.
If anyone wants any high resolution copies of any photos then you'll find details on the flickr website. 100% of donations (plus 28% gift aid) will go to the Jerviswood Trust. I'll take the hit on any paypal fees etc.

What a sad day but a fantastic tribute to the one and only.
Lord H. missed me off the LADS list.
Memories to take to the grave, along with being in the stand at Chester Race Course in '95!!
Trying to upload video of 20 scoobs before new age and I set off.
Respect to all..............

As always military precision was applied and departure at 1130 from carlisle and a great run up into Scotland
After miles of trying we eventually got a 2 lane convoy of scoobys and a smooth arrival into Services at 1pm to be met with another 100 subarus was an amazing site
every colour and modle on show and everyone dressedin subaru regalia
and nice to see some of the scottish scoobies with kilts on .
( it made me think of a smaller version of the NBO and has given me another vision)
Excellent moving speech by awesomeposse (Grant ) and good planning by Imys who then sorted out 127 subarus into groups of classic, bugeyes, blobeyes and hawkeyes she then led the largest convoy that i had ever seen which seemed to stretch for miles down the valley into lanark
parking was swift then we boarded busses (and i bet half the people had never been on a bus for years)
when we got into lanark the main street was packed and large screens were set up for us all
A moving celebration of Colin and Johnnys life followed with people from all walks of life all grouped together for this sad and emotional event .
Talking to Ally (scottish SIDC organiser)the plans for a national convoy down to Prodrive with the whole subaru community is very exciting and many thousands will be raised for charity
once again a fine example of what a great community we all belong to
after the event a nice convoy down the m74 to end the day and we will all have special memories of a special (but sad) day .
