Those Spartans are just lucky there were no cage fighting millionaire scoobynetters back in the day...

They wouldn't have stood a chance

Cool

Watched it.....

Well the first 20 minutes were dull... Spartan children were similar to cahvvy council estate ones... born to fight

Then enter 300 men, that happen to go for a walk towards a Persian pikey army of 1 million strong.... just for some serious 'cocking about'....

Great fight scenes as they repel wave after wave of Northern types (freaks)... whose bodies they use to build a nice wall as well

Then for some reason Gollum leads some Persian pikey's through a short cut and kill all the Spartans.... which REALLY upsets the rest of Sparta...

End scene *Braveheart* with Spartans

8/10 - Don't watch it with a female... as they will get confused, then bored... then spoil your watching of it by constantly 'tutting' and reading a TV mag...

I thought it was good - it is a bit far fethched, but then the 'true' story its based on is as well.

If you like Gladiator, you should like it ( its not as good story wise, but the fight scenes that make up most of the film are better ).

Obviously all the ironing, washing, cleaning and cooking were completed for the evening and you let her join you in watching the film?

More fool you

This weekend I am off to see my woman, armed with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and True Romance. Time to educate her in the ways of comedy and violence.

As a treat I gave her time off from housekeeping duties for 2 whole hours... and that's the thanks I get!!!

I won't be making that mistake again

At least she didn't sit there laughing at it too, I've been banished from the room in the past for sniggering in an inappropriate manner and spoiling his enjoyment of a good (crap ) film

LMAO classy. Saying that the young lady I have started to see is a fan of Tarentino. I text her last night saying I thought Deathproof was boring until the end which made it maybe worth a watch. Woke up this morning to a text message off her, if I didnt know it was her I would have put money on it being Barry Norman with a full opinion on that, and a comparison to Pulp Fiction, Resi Dogs, Jackie Brown etc etc

Glad you enjoyed your film

See I think you almost have to watch this film with a girl. Basically, its oiled up half naked men fighting each other (a bit like wrestling), only far, far gayer. And the main bad guy, come on. He's like a genetic mixture of Larry Grayson, Dale Winton and Frank Bruno.

If my old mum, bless her, decided to visit in the middle of me watching this film, I am sure she would become convinced that I harboured a secret about watching gay ****.

No, the only way to watch this is with a girl.

From Dusk Till Dawn....

Bank robbery..... killings.... road trip.... THEN "TITTY TWISTER"

Lots of vampire ****, blood, limbs, cigars, pool cues, beer, table legs, sex machines **** revolver then.......

A fine example of making anti-vampire weapons out of household sh1te

Followed by LOTS of blood, death, vampire killing...... then... sunlight + disco ball = dead vampires.....

Finally the immortal words: "I may be a b*st*rd, but I'm not a fecking b*st*rd."

The end
