So who looks at them.

Who investigates stolen post if you complain to the sorting office?

Who investigates stolen post if you use the emial complaint system?

Who investigates stolen post if you complain to customer services?

Someone is stealing my stuff and RM are not interested, I've not had one single reply from over twenty emails and dozens of phone calls to people at all levels.

Cheers

how much does a postie earn?

edit:

found this

Royal Mail offers a basic wage of £256 a week to delivery staff, which amounts to an annual salary of around £13,300. Those working in London earn £15,900 a year. Staff also earn an additional £100 on average each week in overtime and pay supplements for night and weekend work.

Lee,
As far as I'm aware the IB (Investigating Branch) is contacted and it is taken from their, If you beleive RM are not intrested I would go and speak to the office manager and ask him why nothing has been done and then they could probably put a watch on your post.
Cheers

peoples perception of what a decent wage is always different,
easy enough factory jobs going for around 20k if you look, 25k if you manage to find one with reasonable overtime.

i have promised my top lad a pay rise at xmas and he will be on a whopping £6/hour

he loves it, that to him is a decent wage. to me that just keeps him sweet for a year or so until the raise the bloody min wage again

most people on here will think its crap, all i know is i was getting about £3/hour 10 years ago to do his job so it could be worse!

Totally agree!! Some people just dont get that some folks choose a career for the enjoyment they get from it, not to "match" there interlect levels!

I used to work for a bank and had numerous banking qualifications as well but hated it. Eventually left and went to horticultural college for a year and after many years, iam now the head gardener of a large park. I love the job and get immense satisfation from the work involved.
Being head gardener, the pays pretty good as well but even if i earnt a few grand less, id still rather being doing this job i love rather than doing a higher paid job that i hated.
Too many people out there seem to stick in jobs they hate and lead a miserable existence just to "keep up with the jones" or pay for that new kitchen-they sound like the real losers.

a lot of talk about backlogged mail on this thread

sorry to p**s on anyone's chip's,but my duty is clear, and has been since yesterday,no backlog,no missing special delivery's,no stock pile of missing ebay item's,most of the duties in the office are also clear(with the odd exceptional lazy bar stewel's duty being full of last fridays mail)

if anyone is missing said items, pop along to your local office and ask the manager if he can locate them for you,if they have even been sent in the first place,i've heard "its because of the strike" S***E from 5 differant ebay members whom i have bought items from, total ****........do these people not realise that when the items are delivered, there is a date printed on the postage label

I do feel sorry for the staff being **** on by top brass, but as has been said in this thread what good is it to **** off the general public and stop us in our tracks?

Although I feel sorry for RM staff, it does put me out both in life and in work. Luckily it doesn't affect my business really, but it does affect my Mrs job and a lot of others I deal with.

So what good will come of the strike? You are costing RM more money so they will need to make more cuts next year, the public are pissed off with it, and the gov't won't do anything, so back to square one?

This thread has made me realise that pslewis must work for RM in some role, and not for some missile manufacturer, as his posts have for once been normal and heart felt - I sense a personal involvement in all this from Pete

news has been reporting all night that the last strike made the massive backlog i talked about, so it seams the simple workers at the bottom really don't have a clue about anything after all.

no offense like

but leave the managing to managers and do yer ferken job
