*** Jordan F1 vs Scooby Drivers at karting - CONFIRMED ***

Neal,
A.N.Other is my girlfriend Deb! Already in the team (and should embarass a few of us males with her loony karting skills!).
No idea of a name, will get thinking. Welcome aboard.
Edited to rephrase the blatant innuendo!

Wondered why you were being quiet Grahame!
Yep, I'm doing personal tours for some people, everyone else will get the head of Branding at Jordan.
Sorry you can't come...
Keep going with the names! Team Weave... didn't you use that name at the AGM? And do quite well?
Cheers
Richard

Hey-ho... main post's disappeared yet again... always seems to vanish after about 8 edits... webbie?
------------------
Ok, IT'S ON!!!
Basically, I'm organising a day of activities around a karting event for Subaru drivers to challenge the Jordan F1 team. Programme of details:
- Sunday 17th February
- 2pm : Meet at Jordan Grand Prix headquarters, opposite Silverstone track, a few miles south of Northampton
- 2:30pm : Tours of Jordan factory including where the cars are built up, tested etc (in groups of 8)
- 3:30-4pm : Head over to Whilton Mill karting centre
- 4:30pm : 2 hour Endurance Kart Race, including free bacon butties
- 8pm : Off to The Mill House pub/restaurant near Daventry for food and drinks to celebrate/commiserate (optional)
The Factory Tour is now definitely on; however, this day will be an extremely busy one for the team, as it is the day before Silverstone testing, and also just a few days before everything is sent to the first GP in Australia. This means I'll have to do the tours in groups of 8-10, with a colleague helping me to increase the amount of time each group can get. Most of the Jordan GP team will be in working there so I'll need everyone to hold hands and walk round in pairs. Seriously, I'll need everyone's co-operation on this one as they're putting a lot of trust in me. I'm sure you'll all help me out
The day is getting official Jordan backing now, with a report to be put on the Jordan web site and probably J magazine (the fan club mag) and a regular internal Jordan newsletter. This is getting BIG!
All in all, I reckon it should be a top day!
For directions to Jordan, either use the postcode (NN12 8TJ) in an Internet map site (e.g. Streetmap), or basically follow signs for Silverstone circuit on the A43, a few miles south of Northampton. The entrance is exactly opposited the main Silverstone track entrance - you can't miss it.
For details of Whilton Mill (karting), look on their web site.
The Mill House pub and restaurant is a big pub/B&B on the other side of Daventry, with plenty of parking spaces and a large restaurant area which we will take over for the night (so I'm promised) It does a wide variety of pub and restaurant food, so it should suit all
So far, I have down:

To these guys (other than spectators) - please can you send a cheque for either £148.50 (for a full team) or £37.12 each to me. Please e-mail me (Bitten.Hero@scoobynet.co.uk) with 'karting' in the Subject and I'll e-mail back with my address and contact details. Everyone else, please wait for me to confirm with you about spaces, as and when they become available.
For those that haven't given me all the info, I need to know:
- number of people
- if you want to come on the Jordan tour
- if you want to come for food afterwards
Cheers
Richard
*** THIS IS NOW FULL *** Sorry! All others will be put on the reserve list on a first-come, first-served basis. There may be a space or two on the day too so even if you can't be guaranteed karting it might be worth turning up!
Also, due to the sheer numbers, I have to restrict factory tours to just karters and the few spectators I've already confirmed. Sorry!

Yep, no problem - she won't be able to do the Jordan tour now (sorry!) but she's very welcome to spectate during the race and join us for food. (Can't remember if you're down for food or not as the list's at home.) If so can you let me know?
Cheers
Richard

Paul: It's Bitten, not Britten, and that's not my real name It's what appears on the Jordan F1 cars when we can't use Benson & Hedges due to tobacco advertising laws.
DT: Ok, you're in
Dave: sorted

THANKYOU Jeff, you're a star
First on the reserve list is Christian Clark, so I'll add him to the list. I was actually one over before so in fact that makes it all even. He used to hold the lap records at Buckmore Park and Rye House kart tracks, so you should be ok
Subsequent postings are on the reserve list until any more spaces are freed (sorry!).
Thanks again Jeff

That means you three together, and you will gain someone else from the 'individuals' (i.e. unassigned to any particular team) list. Any preference?
That goes for everyone else too - if you want to be put together (D&C T-S and ScoobyChick's Chris for example?) then either post or drop me an e-mail and it shall be done. Otherwise, just before the day, I'll assign people fairly arbitrarily.
Cheers
