A frame with 2 wheels! I dont know what they were,do you think we cared as long as my legs could peddle faster than anybody elses round the block Although I remember one friend (the only friend who was quicker than me) having a grasshaopper or something. Less gears but the little **** could beat anybody.

Raleigh Spider (I think it was at least... Probably binned)
Raleigh Burner (Sold after many happy years and grazed elbows)
Emmelle POS mountain bike (Ridden into the ground and disintegrated)
Dawes Scorpio (Rebuilt and sold after I was hit by a car)
<-- My current bike's under my profile

Ones I can remember:
At the begining of the 80's I had some purple Raleigh which im sure was a Burner but it had really big knobly tyres and a longer seat, plus it had bellows on the forks to look like suspension..
White/Black Raleigh Mustang, 5 speed.
Blue/Green Holdsworth Zagoria 18 speed (I think thats what it was called).
Silver/Purple Marin Murwoods.
Grey/Orange Marin Pine Mountain.
I've still got the Pine Mountain and I'm currently restoring it

I had a Coventry Eagle racer for years, it was heavy, but boy did it absorb some abuse
I also had a Chopper that my Uncle gave me for a good long while too but my mother decided to bin that whilst I was away at Uni
Every now and again I email her an ebay auction just to remind her what she cost me
These days I have an old Diamondback MTB frame with assorted bits bolted to it. It spends all it's time hanging off the garage wall at home in the UK

Brandless stuff pre-12. At 12 I got an old Carlton 10 (10-speed) which I almost completely re-built - it was eventually nicked from outside the Abbey National when I went in "just for three minutes" and didn't lock it. Spent all my piggy bank to buy a Revell Romany tourer and took it through France and Germany, alone and youth-hostelling, when 15. Still have it but the poor thing gets ridden about once every 5 yrs now. Re-built dad's old Raleigh Lenton frame (circa 1960s) with decent 1980s componentry, it went well until an old dear pulled out in front of me. Bought an Evans mountainbike in 1985 while most of you lot didn't even know they existed - it was a POS, and best friend finally stacked it going down a snowy hill. That thing was cursed, always going wrong. Sold it and good riddance. And I also still have the fixed-wheel "Maclean featherweight" 1930s frame that was custom-made for a friend of my grandfather for time-trialling, which I rebuilt as a lightweight. Went like a rocket on the flat, I'd ride twice a week from Richmond to Harrow to go to taekwondo classes, took half an hour each way IIRC, a great traffic-jammer. Loony frame geometry, something like 71/74. All of them in various Reynolds 531 tubing.
Then I passed my driving test...

I got a new bike every summer hols when I went and stayed on my Grandads farm
Too many to remember but I had various Raleigh burners, a Stormer (which looked very cool but I cant think of the make)
I then went to road bikes. I liked my limited editions so had a Raleigh Milk Race and a Team Raleigh Banana. Went on to a 501 tubed Peugot Triathlon from there then progressed to MTB. The Raleigh Yukon, a red and yellow affair that I had for years and covered sooooo many miles on then, as many have said....I passed my driving test.
I have recently got back in to cycling again and have in the garage a Spesh Stumpy FSR comp, Cannondale M600, Spesh Hardrock, Ribble road bike and a Spesh Allez double.
It looks like I have some kind of brand loyalty but tbh I just buy what I like at the time.

Right, started off with a Raleigh Spider in yellow, with matching web graphics! Cool as ice in 1977.
Aspired to a chopper, but Dad thought they "did not look safe" so mugged me off with a three speed "proper bike" at ten, which I hated. Modified that with "cow horn" handlebars" and yellow police siren thing, and then it broke.
Then got an Elswick "Turbo Twelve" Racer, which was okay, but in an odd sort of metallic bronze (so brown really) colour. That got smashed up by some ****** reading his Dad's bike which had no brakes, so got a Raleigh Bomber. In metallic blue (not the usual black), think it was a "super bomber" actually thinking about it.
Subsequently, Rockhoppers, et all, but always wish I had kept that super bomber, loved that bike!!

Raleigh Budgie in blue first (that same xmas my oler brothers got a Yellow Boxer and a Grifter).
Then some unbranded BMX, followed by a heap of s**t Abbey Trojan (anybody ever heard of 'Abbey' - not the bank!?), then a Marin Palisades Trail in Grey / Purple, now a Trek 6300.
Always wanted a Klein Attitude / Adroit back in the day!

A Revell rapide frame 531 and components i bought sepaerate .This lasted 10 ish years ( including downtube replacement) whereupon i gave 120 notes for a cannondale 2.8 roadbike and shimano bits - another few years until i fancied a change and bought a LOOK 241 and campag/mavic combo - thought it maybe more comfortable than the ali one - which it wasnt

Raleigh Budgie
Raleigh Chopper
Raleigh Striker
Raleigh Grifter
Raleigh Burner
Raleigh Winner
I can remember the Winner being close to £200 in the early 80's. I wonder what that equates to now. Could probably buy a half decent mountain bike.
Cheers

Tomahawk
Grifter
BMX, no idea what make or model, it was white and had blue plastic 5 spoke wheels
Did not get a mountain bike til I crashed my first car and could not afford to fix or replace it so I bought a £100 Apollo thing and lost all the weight I had gained since passing my driving test

Raleigh Burner (red one with carbon frame [I think] and mag wheels - can't remember the model)
And some hideous racer with wheels that were an inch wide. It had 10 gears (woohoo!!!) and weighed 4 tonnes. No wonder I was fit when I was younger!!!

Early on seemed to go through a fair few second hand bikes, can't remember many....
Generic kiddy bike with stabilisers, removed at some point!
Raleigh Chipper (inferior version of the Chopper).
Had a go on a mates bike, Raleigh Grifter, fell off into wall and broke my collar bone
Started doing cycling proficiency at school and the instructor said there were about twenty things wrong with the heap I was riding at the time. Think my Dad had bought it from the local junk shop, it was like a postman's bike, quite heavy, and a bit too big for me. Anyway he said I couldn't do cycling proficiency until I had a safe bike so I went off home crying. My old man was furious, especially as he knew the instructor and didn't particularly like him. Got a brand new Peugeot racer the next day, ten speed That shut up the cycling proficiency instructor.
Used to borrow my Dad's Raleigh Record Sprint and my brothers BMX...
then...
Dawes Mountain Bike.
Marin Mount Vision.
