I wouldn't be so quick to drop the price.
If it's only been advertised for a couple of weeks, then be patient - of course you'll have to sell it cheap if you need to shift it in a hurry. But if you don't, you can afford to wait a bit longer for someone who takes a shine to your particular car and is prepared to pay a bit more for it.
It's hard to judge value just by looking at the adverts - a cheap car is no bargain if it's been abused, but unfortunately people with scruffy cars to sell tend to lie about them. It's only by looking at a few in person that you realise just why a particular car is cheap.
Take, for example, a car I went to see a couple of months ago. It was advertised as a '96 STI, and was up for just £2750. Turns out the bodywork was a mess, the gearbox was completely knackered, the CEL came on the first time I put my foot down on the test drive, and when I got out afterwards there was a burning smell. And it wasn't even an STI, but a WRX with a sticker on it.
The car was clearly a total pup - barely fit to break for parts - but the fact it was being advertised for sale at all wasn't doing the prices or reputation of similar cars any favours at all.
I ended up spending nearly twice as much, also on a '96 STI, but it's immaculate and drives like new.

Thanks for all your replies. I took some advice - though I didnt drop my price, and after only waiting a couple of weeks, the first viewer bought! 
The sad news is that in the next few days or so I will be scoobyless
however, had lot's of fun and been to lots of scooby rallies and stuff.... maybe I'll be scooby sick and invest in another in the future... A CLASSIC OF COURSE!

i would buy your time, dont forget christmas not to far away, i brought mine at the end of jan this year for £5900 with loads of history and had two offers so far but its not for sale and dont think it will be for a while.

WRXCraig, Ive the thread link, and it's unfortunate that no one seems interested in the scoob... 
it is probably the wrong time of year to sell, but in my case the family who bought my T2000 MY99 have been looking for 4 months and frankly only viewed a pile of crap... when they viewed my scoob they were over the moon with the condition and the rare full black leather interior - I guess I was lucky... I was also very lucky that it will go to a good home who will look after him as well as I did

I am in the market for a classic now, hopefully going to get my hands on a STi, I have always liked my classic car's and I like the fact that you can do most of the work on the old classics (I want a pet project to tinker with).
Incidently I am going the other way, I owned a 2005 plate STi Type UK with PPP until about 3 weeks ago, great car but I have always had a soft spot for the classics.
Right now pistonheads is flooded with classics so probably best to wait a little until the market is right for the sale. Saying that I have noticed most of hte mint looking cars tend to be the UK classics.

Shucks! You missed out big time on mine 
I guess you have to wait around until the right one turns up. that's the thing with scoobies, it took me 3 months or more to find the right one, but when you do, you know... though I guess the last place I'd look was on Pistonheads, mines on there and I had about 10 enquiries ALL TIME WASTERS
It took my buyers 4 months to find their perfest match!

Imprezas are strange cars ..... everyone wants an unmolested example, maybe to modify themselves even!
But, by that very fact, unmolested examples are as rare as hens teeth.
These are the cars most sought after and will always find a string of buyers - how much of a premium would you put on a One Owner, un-molested UK Classic with a folder full of history??
A fine example of spending less to get more!!

And that's where the problem of supply stems from - no-one wants someone else's modified car (naturally, you want to do it yourself).
I could never see a modified ChavMobile Impreza finding a buyer in a month of Sundays - but, a One Owner example free of 'go-faster' stripes and suchlike will have buyers waiting in line.

it took me over a year to find one that was not molested, sensibly moddified with lots of history, and made me think, Yeah i gota have that one, so i did lol.

It works the other way too.
I was selling my 99 Turbo 2000 and as you have probably read from earlier posts in this link I didnt want to sell to a chav and have the car I had loved and pampered destroyed and floored.
I was told that the price my car was for sale for would only interest chavs and that the community on ScoobyNet were all in the market for something more expensive (!!!)
I was also accused of caring too much for a piece of metal when I should just want to sell it.....
I would rather have kept the car another 12 months than sell it on to some idiotic chav type
All I can say is my buyer has got a fantastic Classic for a bl00dy good price!
