I've never seen a malamute before to be honest but there's a guy on my street who has a husky and he is forever complaining about brushing the dog, its a bit of a running joke now.

Thats a lot of fur in the pic! i normally get about that much over 4 days, so im going to moan a little less about Bobbie now

Mal's are like a larger Husky. They have 2 layers coats, usually really good about shedding, but when they finally do, it all goes in a week or so lol.
Most brush theirs outdoors as its less messy.

You still have the right to complain a lot about it mate, especially if you have to put up with it all year round

Didnt realise how many dogs there were about, and what a lovely variety too

That must be a proper nightmare, but cool at the same time. 35 dogs !!! WOW!

Nope no plays to work him. Just a pet, but am planning to keep him VERY active. Found some superb back packs for him, so he can carry his own gear on long walks/hikes

I know exactly how you feel mate, my best pal was put to sleep at the beginning of the year, I miss him loads

I now have this bundle of mischief, being a working dog who'd rather play with sheep rather than heard them, she was sold to us, she's taking a lot of training to get used to leads, cars and living indoors, but she is getting there

Cheers mate. I am making preparations to maybe get him a companion.
lol @ the scooter, bet that wears him right out

Rest assured I will be looking for all the help I can get if and when the need arises
Had some good advice already, and am staying in touch with the breeder
