The tories may not reduce the tax on petrol, but they would certainly reduce it in many other areas. You can already thank them for reducing Inheritance Tax and they're not even in power yet!

As I said I am no fan of the current government, but blindly leaping over the fence and expecting the grass to be greener on the other side is not a good move.

In what areas exactly? Other than a headline grabbing announcement on inheritance tax they haven't pledged a single tax cut. Also their sums on the inheritance tax pledge don't really add up so expect some modifications there before it gets implemented. Finally my point was about a poster's inference that by getting rid of Labour we would somehow have cheaper petrol. As far as I can see that is not the case.
