i mentioned the brake test, and from where I was watching it looked like he had done and everyone I have spoken with at work said they thought the same (that includes a ferrari fanboy like yourself, although they dont always wear the scarlet tinted spectacles
). Looking at it again, I suppose it is 50/50 as Kimi was coming back on line. I didnt watch the qf as I wasnt home so cant comment on that

Firsty I think McLaren had to appeal the decision, they have to back thie rman obviously. Secondly, I do not think for one minute that McLaren expected the appeal to be successful. At best, they could have expected Williams/BMW to have constructors points docked and perhaps a fine.
There ws absolutely nothing untoward in the race at all in terms of driving. Well done Kimi for becomming World Champion. Unlucky Lewis, but has surely exceeded all expection and then some. Great season, and hopefully next years will be just as good, minus the politics

Firstly, being an Italian, " my boy " doesn't come into it. Ferrari is in the blood.
Secondly, being Italian I am under no illusions whatsoever how things are done there. Anything will be used to try and gain an advantage. Ferrari would cry foul if Lewis was on the same planet, if they thought it would help to unsettle him.
Thirdly, ITV talked out the Q3 incident yesterday and said that the stewards had told Ferrari there was no case to answer.
You seem to view everything F1 related through rosso spectacles. How is life on planet Blinkered?

As soon as Bernie said in the pre-race interview that he ''Thought'' Kimi would win i got £50 on at 10-1 guess who won. Kimi and Me.
Me smells a rat, Lweis drove like the rookie he is, as for the gearbox failling for 40 seconds i wonder who did that Mr Dennis ?
Lets be honest all the talk was about Lewis winning in the year that Maclaren were fined for receiving competitor information.
It would have always hung around him that he only won because his team knew the Ferrari set-up and race strategies.
I know, lets back off and win it another year when we dont have as much attention/focus on us as a team.
Nothing but nothing happens in F1 without Berbie boy knowing about it, saying he fancied Kimi at the start proved this for me.

Well deserved. He won the most races and didn't get involved in any of the "off track" politics, just kept his head down and got on with it.
McLaren, Alonso & Hamilton should have spent more time concerned with whats going on the track than off. If they had, they would have noticed Kimi quietly going about his business winning races and keeping the leaders in check.
Ironic that Ferrari have won the constructors and the drivers titles from no-where.
The fuel thing was never going to change anything, McLaren launching an appeal to try & get the 2 cars ahead of LH removed is just pathetic, and as Fernando Alonso quite rightly said (having a dig in the process I am sure) is that if LH was handed the F1 title through the fuel appeal then it would be embarrasing for him to win it like that.
Lewis has been great and will win many world titles for sure, just not this one. He (& McLaren) buggered it up in the last 2 races of the season and LH will probably be a much better driver in the future for not winning it this year than if he had.

I want competition, and have always supported British drivers. I used to yearn for the day when Ferrari would be competitive again. Remember those that time years ago when they were always languishing in the mid field.
Well, now I am bored of them. They are too good. I want to see racing, not racing just between team mates

I would rather be a lifelong Ferrari fan than a bandwagon jumper like half of those on here who had never heard of Lewis Hamilton before March 2007.

Lewis Hamilton escaped sanction after a controversial end to qualifying when the Ferrari team felt that the McLaren driver had disturbed Kimi Raikkonen’s final Q3 flying lap.
Hamilton emerged from the pits following his last tyre change just as Raikkonen was powering onto the back straight in the midst of his last hot lap.
The McLaren driver looked as if he might impede Raikkonen’s entry to turn four, but saw him in time and stayed on the inside, giving Kimi the racing line into the corner.
The Finn then got a little out of shape in turn four and went on to qualify behind Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa and Hamilton.
Ferrari brought the matter to the attention of race director Charlie Whiting but, on being told that Hamilton had no case to answer, saw no point in lodging a protest.

You are mistaken also in that he changed from supersoft to the harder tyres on his second stop so would have been on those harder tyres anyway.

Pit stop strategy is a bit more complex than just wacking on new tyres and fuelling the car up. Im sure Mclaren being at the forefront of technology like they are, have very reliable and accurate computer models that given any scenario will work out the best strategy. Of course this then has to rely on the data that the model is given.

I didnt say when he went onto the supersofts (which was the 2nd stop as you rightly say) The time he went onto thsse, if they had of fuelled him to the end his tyres would have gone off probably anyway as the mclaren isnt as kind on the tyres as other cars, therefore losing more time in the long run.

My point is that the strategy just did not work did it!
And if you check you will find that he went onto supersofts at the first stop which was deliberately a short stint. He went onto harder tyres on the second stop.
