Couple of mine taken with phone so a bit cr@p took ages to heal as your always bending your arms.
Having the ones on my hands lasered off at the moment, just had my 6th treatment 3 days ago. I had a star and a love heart and dots on my knuckles.......the things you do when your 16 years old, or was it just me??
They never bothered me but my mum was not amused at the time - 20 odd years later and going from working as a quarry fitter to working in an office as an IT bod they had to go, first impressions and all that.

I'm not 100% happy with them, there are a couple of bits that need a bit more colour were I struggled to get them to heal.
I have 2 sleeves that are works progress all done by Rob

Few pics.
After the first 3 hours
After the last 3 hours
It hurt a fair bit cuz of being on the ribs but was not too bad.
She charges £60 an hour.

I'd love to talk to you lot in 20 years time when you realise what you've done to yourself ..... maybe removal will have improved so that scars are minimal by then? I hope so, for all your sakes.
Those may be the words of an old man ..... but they are very wise words - THINK BEFORE YOU INK!!!!

Nice words
Wish I could stay and chat but I'm going away till Monday.
Just for record Pete I have had a good up bringing, lived in a small village, never got trouble, never took drugs etc. But from the age of 15 (now 40) I started doing my own tatts, don't ask me why as I had never really seen any and none of my friends/family had any. I just had this thing about them. As soon as I was 16 I had my first and have never stopped since. I am not one of those people who walk around in a T shirt in winter to show them off - most of the time I keep them to myself.
By the way you can get them removed by laser with no scars. My hand is being done at the moment, I would have had them covered with black stars but work will not let you have them showing. As I said no regrets about any even the ones on my hands.

I don't intend to ruin the thread and I won't do so - you have the right to engrave your bodies however you see fit .......... as the elder on here I was simply throwing in some wise words.
If only one person has thought deeper about what they are about to do, then my words will not have been wasted.
Carry on abusing

lol no thread would be complete without the Lewis perspective of things.
Each to their own PSL Im sure you have done things to others and yourself that people on here would disagree with.
If a tattoo does nothing else, hopefully it will make identifying my body easier should I pass unexpectidly
Personally, my tattoo's are tributes to times and people I wish to keep with me. No better way to do it in my opinion.
None of this, oh ****, i've lost my tattoo, where did i put it, damn it, thats lost forever now lol.
As for the angel up above, fantastic work there. Was that only 6 hours , or more in between ?

That's almost identical to mine I should've known
I had mine done when I was 18 so it's pretty old now and needs re-inking or blending into something else. I don't hold with this argument that you feel silly with them as you get older, I'm an old lady of 44 now and regard my tattoo as part of me, it's been there more than half my life
The temptation to have another one has always been very strong but I can still remember the pain of the first I'm going to check out some of these recommendations on here as I would like something done with mine...watch this space
I like certain tattoos on men, some of the tribal stuff is amazing and can look pretty sexy on the right bloke

Snazy it was all done in about 6hrs mate (2sits at 3 hours each) The first sit was not too bad once the outline was done.I actual fell asleep for the last hour. The second sit hurt a fair bit because of all the detail that was being put in with the soft greys. well worth it though. It took about 4 months to plan because i wanted it to be just right. i had it done in memory of my mum who past away when i was 19.Thats why if you look the head of the angel is looking down as if she's watching over me. (Bit mushey realy but having it done helped me alot)

As for falling asleep, I reckon when I start getting bigger pieces I will be able to do the same. I almost do when I just zone out when I have mine done.
