See somebody likes 'em !
Cheers to DAVESTI350 for a bikers eye view.
My parents bribed me off bikes at 16, and losing two friends that year made me think.
Dunx
P.S. Little funny one. Mate says "Carved up on the A63 by a blind old git the other day..."
So I ask "How fast ?"
He replies "135 mph"..... Sigh !

I lost 1 mate and 3 people i know on bikes in the 80's, (forgot to add one other wo broke his back 300m from my house, and yes he was too fast in the wrong place) and TBH i put this down to poor judgment and wrong speed wrong time... there's a time and a place, and trust me if your carefull and read the road well you'll be fine... if your not then all your doing is play a lottery it will happen ist just when... All most all bike accindents are poor judgment on the riders part wrong speed, wrong place... if you learn to hols back and aticipate danger then there's no reason you won't be a safe rider... Ask any Police rider... I have no issues going back to biking, i did alot of miles and the only problems i had was down to me, and being intecnt on getting my knee down everywhere... Old and wiser and TBH in no need to go fast... Obviously you can't account for a head on, but in all honesty you'd be lucky to get away with that an any car... thats why i went for a sport but less manic street bike as dave says with judgment it the best option really... you can enjoy riding without having to go ***** out to enjoy it like on a sports bike...
I see a few nice rides coming next year...

Again gents all wise words
I'm under no illusions of the dangers and whilst I can occassionally be a bit daft in the Scoob there's no way I would on a bike. Although there's no accounting for the actions of others you can certainly mitigate it to a degree by the space you give to other vehicles and accounting for a worst case "what if they do x,y,z".
So far my girlfriend, sister, mother and best mate have all told me I'm not allowed to have one
We'll see how things go. Daz I may have to look at your 'sensible' bike some time
