It is simply because spelling isn't a big deal on exams anymore. There are loads of the things but they are not even marking on core values. Utter rubbish.
It is also due to idle parents. Nearly half of the people on my sister's uni course are apparently dyslexic when what they actually suffer from is idleness and an ability to play the system.
