Hehe chew on this one

To date, just a couple of days over the 4 week mark (half way point)

I have lost a whopping 37.8lbs, and am just 2lbs away from hitting a weight beginning with 15 stone.. Which for me is stupid low. Certainly the lowest I have been in years.

Now 227lbs. which considering last entry I was hoping to get below 240..... gives you an idea of how well its going.

I have also promised myself something else.
If I can get to 14 stone Xlbs by Xmas day, I WILL have dinner, all be it a very small one. 14 1/2 stone would be nice, in reality, its a tough battle, as to hit 14 1/2 I would need to lose a further 23lbs in 3 weeks..... its a tough one, but could be fun

The initial aim was to lose 66lbs, so im WAY over the half way mark now, and seeing these number, it just encourages me more and more...

But I could kill a meat feast from pizza hut right now, or a boneless meal from KFC.

Here is the loss charted.

My mrs has looked into this but it seems very expensive. She was a 10 at the start of this year and is now a 12. She wants to get back to a 10 but is finding it a bit hard.

£66 a week is really not that bad at all. When you add up the cost of ALL your food and drink intake over the course of a week. With exception to tea and coffee.
Soft drinks, alcohol, milk, and ALL foods.

Some interesting facts for those interested.

Over the past 4 weeks (28days).....

I have consumed 174 litres of water @ an average of 6.21 litres a day

I have lost 38lbs @ a rate of 1.26lbs a day

I have lost approx 4 inches from my waist.

Should have consumed 112 food packs (however missed about 8-10 of these)

Spent £264 on the food packs, water additives, and councelling meetings.

Only just caught onto this thread when i heard you mention this lighterlife thing on another thread.

Are you excercising at the same time, or is it just these food supplements?

What happens to all the skin if you lose a massive amount of weight so quickly??

paying to starve yourself..... baffling. almost seems to be bragging about what an anorexic person does.

Interesting perception, however not quite as factual as you may think
I am taking in enough nourishment, and calories to get by day to day. It has not negative effects on my ability to be able to function, and has caused no ill effects either, so starving myself is a bit OTT

As for anorexia, an anorexic person is rarely 3-4+ stone over weight to start with

Gaz, the most exercise I am doing at the mo is walking the dog for about an hour a day (2 walks) Just not got the time to commit to training at the mo, nor the health for other reasons.
As for the skin, nothing sagging yet, body is recovering VERY well from it all.

Interesting.

Do they actually warn you off exercise, or ask it to be light? as you're real low on everything. I know your circumstances are different, just wandered what their approach is.

Think i'll read up on it. I have a chunky friend who is keen to do something drastic.

Well done so far Snazy but the real challenge is to keep it off. I know 4 people who have done this diet and 100% have failed to keep the weight off once the 100 days had passed.
I did the 'eating sensibly, drinking loads of water and exercise' route at the same time as one of them. I lost the same amount as them and it has stayed off - unlike them who just put most of it back on again.

lol a chunky "friend" eh

Na dont have to avoid it at all mate. Did a fast 11km walk only last week. Didnt pass out or anything.
You can manage exercise, just possibly not as aggressive as some do.
I take the dog running etc, and am fine about that too

Fair play hun, I know where your coming from with that. I would say they are equal challenges tbh. I have eaten sensibly before etc, but never lost it either at this rate, nor this much, so I guess its the difference I needed

Keeping it off, well thats the bonus of NOT eating. My body is not used to any foods at all right now, so I can start with almost a blank canvas. Im craving foods I dont even like right now, so when I start again, I can be selective about what I have.

The true goal is to get active again. Sadly the size I was hindered my activity, but now I am far more able to do the things I love and to stay active, and keep in shape.

Hehe cheers, I am a once fanatic of the gym, but lost my path. Now I can actually move about I intend on making the most of life again. Lots of cycling and snowboarding. And getting back running again

My attitudeto food has been pretty good most of the time, but once you lose direction and give up, the pounds pack on fast.
The advantage of doing LighterLife is.. I DONT want to have to do it again.

Pics in another thread, quite a difference, or I think so

Well done mate, I managed 10 days and then collapsed on day 11, broke the cycle and went back on the beer and curry.

I was finding it fairly easy up to day 10, then I got hunger pangs and a bit depressed about the whole thing and broke down with some rice and grilled chicken on day 11.

I hated all the soups, just about managed to down the milkshakes and thought the snack bar things tasted like dog ****.

A bit more variety on the food packs would have been nice, because whatever the supplement was that they inject into the food packs became really obvious to me, although I do have a keen sense of taste.

I was getting through a 17ltr water mill bottle every 2 days, pissing like a race horse and managed over a stone in 10 days, but I was always feeling a bit weak and I have a physical job so things were getting a bit tough for me.

I may try again in the new year if there is some variety in the food packs.

Good luck.

Fair play mate,it can be quite challenging. When did you do it. They have introduced a load of new food packs now. Choices are something like as follows.

Shakes
Strawberry
Raspberry
Banana
Vanilla
Caramel
Chocolate

Soups
Chicken
Veg
Thai Chilli
Mushroom

Bars
Fruit
Cranberry
Crunchy peanut
Crispy nut
and a couple of others.

Blending them is the secret. Since using a decent blender, its made all the difference.

Good luck if you try it again, there is support right here for ya.

Thats what I have been living on for a while now, but not the bars, the raspberry or the mushroom soup.

Snazy you've done great mate seriously, but think about following a healthy eating plan long term.

Here is a sample of my diet

Breakfast: 2 weetabix or bowl of branflakes
skimmed milk
10am: Banana or similar fruit
Lunch: Tuna salad or skinless chicken breast with wholemeal pitta
or a small baked potato.
Soups: homemade carrot and coriander - have as many of these as you want, or potato and lentil
Dinner: Piece of salmon, Baked potato, steamed veg, or chicken breast.
As a treat Chicken Balti curry - i kid you not, my own healthy version, with potato wedges put in the oven and sprayed with spray light. or wholemeal rice.

Chicken wraps consist of chicken with loads of mushrooms, onions and peppers done in a pan or wok with spray light
with fajita seasoning, serve with 2 wholemeal wraps.

cut out all sugar and have Canderel, and replace semi-skimmed milk with
skimmed - sounds crap but you do get used to it.
Cut out all processed foods including white rice (basmati is ok) bread and pasta.

If you must have bread have Nimble or Bergen as it has a low GI rating.
Enjoy a cooked breakfast at a weekend - well try this.
you can have as much mushrooms as you want as well as cooked tomatoes, have weight watchers baked beans
and a poached egg, replace your bacon with turkey rashers, it might sound cack but trust me its lovely.

and a couple of slices of Bergen bread or Nimble.
The thing is just think about what your eating, Some time back i was speaking to a bodybuilding/fitness instructor now this guy is 47 years old and has a feckin' six pack, and i'm stood there with my belly hanging over my pants, he told me just to eat clean and have 6 small meals a day, i thought he was talking crap at the time. Its only now that buy following this i am really seeing the benefits.

Thing is buy doing this it keeps your blood sugar level regulated and is not up and down like what happens when you have say two whopping meals a day - have you ever had a large baguette for lunch and you feel lethargic an hour later? this is your blood sugar level doing this, what happens is it shoots up and then your bodys insulin goes into overdrive to bring it down, this is what makes you tired after that big pub dinner, and ends up storing as bodyfat.

Not only have i lost weight (between 1.5-2 stone) ok not as much as Snazy but i'm not so sure about his diet tbh over long term but i feel loads better, i am sleeping better and my strength at the gym has gone daft.

My weight loss has slowed down but Rome was not built in a day - thing is i'm happy to stick to this, i'm not suffering at all, not hungry and i feel great.

I do the gym 3 times a week but hate doing cardio so i do 3 times a week just doing a quick walk - this really has improved my fitness.

I may bleat on as if i'm some bloody expert - well i aint, i used to be into my martial arts and gym and used to train 4-5 times a week and was a very muscular and trim 16 stone, i had a abad knee injury and stopped it all but in truth afterwards i became just downright lazy and as a result a right fat ******, something had to be done.

8 weeks ago i couldn't walk more than 2-300 yards without getting back ache
now i can go for miles on end, and by weight training my strength has gone silly.

I've still a long way to go but if i can do it anyone can.

Sorry for the long winded post

Cheers Chief.

Healthy eating is no stranger to me, and I have to say thats the sort of thing I used to shovel down my gob, but after the accident and spending a lot of time at home, convinience was key.
On new years day I am hoping to start food intake again. One week at a time introducing food groups one at a time trying to find the trigger group.

As for CV, I love running now, and can happily do 5-8kms each morning, although I am laying off it at the mo, 1/money and 2/ injured shoulder. But again once the food starts to flow again I plan on getting straight back into running. The dog walking helps no end, and my activity level has shot back up. Brisk 11km walk to the doctors the other day, that felt good.

The next 4-6 weeks should be at telling time, and I will be sure to make sure everyone knows about it lol.
Looking forward to riding through the woods again too, I miss my mountain bike

Right, a bit of an update for those bothered lol..

Just a couple of days to go for the 8 week mark now.
54lbs gone. 12lbs left to reach my target.

Chuffed to bits.
Buying a few bits of new clothing, I have lost 6+ inches from my waist, and gone from an XL size in t-shirts and other such clothing, to a MEDIUM !

As of New Years Day im moving onto the Management stage of things. But stalling on Week 1 for a few weeks, which is 1 portion of protien a day, chicken, fish etc. And some salad if I can manage it lol.

Once the last 12lbs are gone, I can move onto the later stages of Management, but for now it will be a relief to be able to answer my cravings and eat that piece of grilled chicken, or tuna

Thought you might all like to know that
