What also happened when we moved, was that we left behind some good people... names such as Apple, Kev Turbo, Gary, Paul & Steff, Martyn, Martin & Raff to name just a few... We also left behind possibly the best bunch of car club related friends we've had... namely the SMACS lads and lasses who made the regular trip over to see us...
Al, those are very kind words. We do indeed miss our monthly jaunts to sticker up your cars properly The trek over to squires is a bit too far for some of us on a weeknight, me included, but closer to us would see both clubs gaining in membership methinks. Looking forward to our doo in Dec, and just for your info Sticky, it's not the Snake

I think the post office would be good place to meet.
The land lord's a bit of a petrol head ...so ive heard.
went to a drift event bout a month ago in the car park.
Very big car park, you've got a lot of land on gravel...maybe a rally is in order

I dont mind rhubarb triangle, hare and hounds or the Blacksmiths.

OK.. some collation is in order....
These are the ones that are within the criteria so far...

The Post Office - 3 suggestions
Rhubarb triangle - Wakefield - 3 suggestions
The Blacksmiths - 2 suggestions -
The Old Corn mill (Mirfield) - 2 suggestions
The Sun Inn (Blubberhouses)
Hare and Hound - Lilly Lane Kirkheaton - 4 suggestions
The Grange - Grange Moor

*********************************************

Again.. The Grange moor, Kirkheaton area seems most favourable for most people. Remember your suggestions may not be suitable for everyone, that's why we'll keep taking suggestions to get the best feedback.

I think we'll definitely be visiting Squires, but I think they'll be impromptu when there's a doo, as they used to be, rather than formal.

I'll start adding some links to the list above to help. If you do post a suggestion, a link to the site or a guide would be useful.. Ta.

Maybe the Ship in Mirfield. It's close to the M62, is a food pub with a decent sized car park and is very kid friendly (has a Play area). Not sure how busy it gets on a Thursday night though

Cornmill.... jeeeez Scott use to take me there clubbing when i was 16, them were the days....

Anyway enough reminising

We like Squires and will continue having little meets there, its good for the kids, although it bankrupts us everytime we go,

I am open to suggestions but will really depends on where it is and what facilities it boasts.....would be nice to go somewhere where you can sit on the toilet seat for a pee

I used to go there years ago too Sarah - now i feel old!

The Ship Inn at Mirfield is a great place and lots of family activities too.

Also been to all the pubs at grange moor etc...... All nice but none of them as accomodating as the ship inn and great nosh too so my votes on that but easy wherever.

Aspley marina is nice but its carpark is no way big enough.

Just a thought -

The Hare and Hounds is great for meets, nicely done out inside but there is no play areas or family room (the last time i went) so may have to look into how much they would like it with the kids They do allow kids but im not sure if its just in the eating area and will be cold some nights outside and dark

i'm gonna sound like a real stick in the mud, but i thought the venue had to be near a motorway..... if my geographical knowledge is correct, the ship is a fair distance from anywhere... if the ship is gonna be the new meet, then i reckon the east and west having 2 meetings would be better.

how about the railway in drig??
