From my point of view, there are a lot of other marques that are just as loud.

To maximize the power from the engine, you need a good exhaust setup, or whats the point.

The power has got be released somehow.

You pay your money You take your chanes... I KNEW I was moving near a racecourse... Did the people at Elvington not notice the airfield

The people in Elvington complaining can suck me plums to be honest. Its an AIR FIELD for gods sake and track days happen there once a month, its not like its every weekend.

What would these people be like if they lived near Leeds & Bradford Airport?! They should be thankful Elvington is no longer used by the Air Force.

I wonder if they know the airfield is programmed into the space shuttles computer as an emergency landing site would love to see them over their sunday lunch if that came down and scorched the trees all around

Exactly, I think these people need to realise what exactly Elvington can still be used for. IIRC its also part of the early warning system too, for bombers etc to land and take off from (like a intermediate point) even though no Military is currently based there.

Apologies in advance for getting all ****, but the shuttle glides down from orbit. No engines, no scorching, no bloke with a noise meter 500mm from the exhaust outlet (Though the image conjoured up by that last one is amusing )

Lynds forwarded a link to Maplins for a noise meter, about £30. I'm going to maplins this week to see if I can get a power pack for the video camera. Let me know if you want me to pick one up.

Had one of those when I wanted to test the Civic . . .bought it then took it back

Tbh, unless they've changed it . . .they were'nt that accurate something like +/- 3.5db . . .which if your near the limit anyway does'nt really help.

They were probably rushing to get their tea leaves read

Sorry to rant on, but we are helping their economy & local businesses. That is RE Motorsport & the local shop for snacks

Do they want us to roll up eco friendly . . . . . . .

I give up

Spoke to Paul the other night and we'll be adding a noise meter to the Camera mount currently on club inventory and available to anyone who needs it...

(Rich - get a good one as we'd like accuracy and ruggedness above cheapness...er... not TOO expensive...OK? )

After spending most of the day sideways on Saturday at Elvington, I think I need to give myself an early Christmas present and do the December one too

Sticky mentioned the Pug may make its comeback too

The List
