Price of Eggs
#31
Cheers Olly I'll try and get some, we have a fair amount of farms round where I live, so I'll give them a try. I admit I probably eat more eggs in a week than is healthy, but I love 'em, preferably fried sunny side up or soft boiled although my dog Nell prefers them raw *yuck* but they give her a nice shiny coat and she loves them

The sensible answer is China, and other developing nations. As they get more affluent, they are eating more meat and dairy products. That in turn has led to huge increase in demand for animal feedstuffs which has caused global prices to increase. A large proportion of the cost of eggs is chicken feed, hence the rise in the price of eggs.
Watch out for the price of meat and dairy to increase too.
