So you dont want to know if the guy is illegally putting cars on the road and ripping people off?
It was a simple question with a yes/no answer, of course if you spent 30k on a car that could end up being scrapped, you would want to know the legallity of the documentation, and so far Immy has avoided the answer on a public forum, makes you think a bit doesnt it?

I didn't call myself part of a community chap. And it's not about sticking up for other Subaru owners, merely whats good behaviour.

Instead of being a jumped up know-it-all with a snobby condascending attitude, why not take Juggers up on his offer? He has offered to tell you but you seem to be conveniently missing this.

As a businessman i would certainly not expect him to give away all his secrets on a public forum - it is his lively hood after all. If he is doing something illegal that could affect members then of course he deserves everything he gets, but in his insistence otherwise then it's down to you with your little bee-in-the-bonnet to prove otherwise.

Maybe, just maybe, he has been a smart businessman that has found a loophole that means he benefits financially and SN members can get the car they really want a bit cheaper than they would elsewhere. If he has then fair play to the fella. Obviously you know far more about his business than he does though.

For the record, i have never bought a car, or even spoken to PCM/Juggers.

1. I would like to know how they get registered but i am not going to get into a slanging match with anyone, if anyone can get them reg on a loophole then good on them, although if it was illegal and there was a chance of my car getting siezed i would be a bit worried.

2. It must be ok the way Immy is doing it or i am sure by now we would have heard from some poor guy having his car taken.

Each to there own, if you can get away with it ,why not???

there is a lot worse going on in the car world, lol.

Mark, all i want is a simple yes or no that the cars have the correct model report for that vehicle, is a simple yes such a hard thing, and being a business man, you should know that being open and honest are one of the big points people like, plus the fact that all cars produced after 31/12/05 require by law a euro 4 model report for that vehicle, and it has to be the correct model report.
I feel the paying public have a right to know if these cars have the correct model report, there is no getting around by using "knowledge" if the documentation isnt correct.

Looks like libel to me Tony as you've no evidence of any illegal activity. PCM don't have to tell you anything; why would they FFS. If I were PCM I'd track you down & sue your ***. What a tosser.

PCM is doing the public a service (or it could be the opposite) yet he does not defend himself by saying he uses the correct model report, that ill let you figure out TX, if you have the intelligence.
If there were nothing to hide, a simple one word answer would resolve the situation, but its got to be done on here, a "coversation" on a phone wont do, sorry

Immy, you well know my views as we have had it out in the past over this issue many times. I am not here to start another argument with you, so don't get on the defensive. I am merely asking a question here.

In this thread -

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...lection-2.html

you openly state that your Spec C's and the S204 you imported would be registered as STI's. Does this not answer the question of whether or not you have the correct means to get these ltd ed cars registered?

As I'm sure you well know, these cars are classed as 'modified' vehicles in Japan, hence one reason why they don't conform to the 'gentleman's agreement' of being capped at 276bhp. Because they are classed as modified they lose their specification and classification codes, all of which are important details relating to crash test standards etc etc needed here in the UK to get them registered.

No it does not because the dvla don't recognise jap special editions. Any importer will tell you that DVLA only recognise sti's ,put it this way you are very lucky to even get sti on the log book when registering an import.

You have a spec c what does it say on your log book?

This thread isnt related to PCM
Also the question I asked has still not been answered, its not what is on the log book but about the model report, so for instance a type RA-R would require a type RA-R model report, you seem still to avoid the simplest of questions on this somewhat easily answered subject, so do you have an answer or not?

I want a PUBLIC answer, you are still evading the question.
I'll give you one bit of advice immy, being open and honest go a long way, your being neither just now, its not a reputation builder, unless your name is Arthur Daley

Damn, I must've drawn the short straw when my car my Spec C Type-RA was brought into the country then. It took nearly 4 months of talks with VOSA just to get the car to SVA, and that was after a VOSA official came to see my in the flesh and compare to a standard Spec C. Even when they did agree to allow it to be SVA'd they still insisted on the adjustable suspension being removed and standard Spec C shocks fitted as the Type-RA sits 15mm lower they said this could have an effect in a crash. Why that was I do not know as after the SVA the adjustable stuff was put back on anyway.

I will state for the record though that my car does not have Spec C or Type-RA on the logbook, but still all that fuss could not have been for nothing.
