You will hear more and more of these types of comments from people who you would not necessarirly think of as 'racist' or right wing as people wake up to what is happening, i think Morrissey put it very well.
The whole immigration 'thing has been handled badly and the best we can now do is bolt the stable door whilst waving the horse goodbye - likely to be eaten along with the odd swan by the foreign types

The main parties need to put their heads together and get the 5 million unemployed back to work before importing even more trouble into this country. There is no fecking way you can live on £5.51 an hour, and I would like to see some politician who begs to differ try it. Maybe they could give them 60% housing benefit for the 1st 9 months then 50% etc etc until hopefully they have worked their way up to a decent wage. At least then they will actually be contributing a little towards the Country rather than just spongeing from it

I like the way people confidently bandy statitistcs around when our own government hasn't got a clue what immigrant numbers are. 
There are obviously very high numbers of immigrants coming to this country, and IMHO this is quite unsustainable when you look at out infrastructure. Look at the added burdens to maternity services, hospitals, schools, roads etc etc. I rent houses out and I can tell you right now that an "English" tenant is quite a rare species in a large town. I've rented out to one such tenant in about 5 years I think. Several years ago all my tenants would be UK born and bred. Indeed just walk around in my town centre and you mostly hear Eastern European accents, and no I'm not bullsh1tting.

Who cares what nationality the people renting houses are? They're just like me and you, just have a different accent, they work hard (probably harder than you or I) for a living.
Alot of you guys have a strange outlook on others. To say you all whinge about this country being a dump you dont half get all defense about other people coming to the dump.

lol you'd be surprised. I would have thought the same but there seems to be an awful lot of well off people in Maidstone judging by the owners cars you see driven around now. Probably down to criminal activities though exploiting the local Eastern Europeans

you don't need stats to work out there are way too many people being allowed to enter the country. EVERYWHERE I go I hear eastern european accents in large numbers. Make an average of that country wide an it soon becomes tens of thoasands.
I have no gripe with people from other countries coming here but the simple fact is that it is unsustainable.
It is crystal clear the problems that are being caused before our very eyes.
10 odd years ago I knew a guy who worked as a missionary in Bosnia. And he said (back then) that what happened in Yugoslavia could eventually happen here. Never have his words seemed truer. Its a real pity.

Oh and a Tory politician did live on the dole for a month to make the point back in the 70's, he did it again recently. The point being, you shouldn't be "comfortable" on the dole, it should be enough to stop you starving to death and not much more, if you can afford **** or beer, then it's too much.

Agree, but these are modest estimates.
Its not about who the immigrants are or where they are from its purely the burden put on the infrastructure of society. And the fact the the half wits in power lie through the teeth about the true nature of the situation.
We need honest open debate that is not stifled by left wing pseudo-fascism

I suppose it is isolated areas that feel it. Wrexham has a population of around 65k and 15k are Polish immigrants. That's a substantial %age, and when you realise they settle in specific neighbourhoods it does make the number seem even larger.

There is such a thing as forced unemployment. We do not have 100% employment in this country.
Should you be punished for literally being unable to get a job?
As for the Tory living on the dole for a week - Good for him. Let's see him do it for 2 years then make the same statement. Anyone can live on the breadline for a week, is doing it for a prolonged period that's difficult.

We need all of the facts, all of the numbers. What the drain on resources is versus the tax income (according to the government it worth £6 billion to the economy, but I would venture we need independant figures)

Absolutely not if its genuine. But are you telling me those who claim there are no jobs have gone to every supermarket within a reasonable distance to where they live and applied for jobs? I'm afraid there are plenty of jobs available but many of the lazy dole sponging scum don't want to work in a supermarket but they shouldn't have a choice!

As it stands the Government are clamping down on Job seekers allowance (it literally is job seekers allowance now, you have to be actively looking for work to receive it)

Perhaps I should go round to that editors house and help myself to what ever I want as they so strongly belive in letting Britain be a free for all
Every time I go into town now I am amazed at the high number of Eastern European accents as well as accents from further afield (Asia & Africa) you hear as you pass people. The rate its going UK nationals will be the minority before long because immigration into this country is a bloody disgrace. Oh and my local Shell garages run by the same bloke only employs Sri Lankans, now surely that has to be illegal under employment law and racial discrimination.

I don't agree that the British identity is dead however. It certainly could disappear in years to come if the present gross mismanagement of immigration continues, which suits this sorry lot in charge anyway since they have no loyalty towards this country anyway.
Just at the moment there are enough Brits around to keep our end up and I hope that does not change.

What would take home be though? around 180 a week I reckon. So £720 a month. £550 a month rent and £85 a month council tax. That would leave you with 85 a month for food,rates and transport.

I think thats why many people on this board might think i'm exagerating. Problem is living in Kent especially anywhere along the M20 and M2 you get all the immigrants passing through Dover coming right past your doorstep and many stay and don't go much further North because its easy to get back to Dover and onto home to see their families. In the last year the increase in Eastern Europeans has become absurd. I've even been in the local Tesco where there has been occasions where there are more Eastern Europeans shopping than anyone else due to the coaches and mini bus loads of them that stop there after a days work on the local farms.
Oh and before any goes there you are you see they are working and therefore paying tax I can guarantee the majority of them will be cash in hand and paying no tax.

Try reading the whole post correctly before picking bits to quote from with your agenda. Anyone with a brain can see that the infrastructure of this country isn't and will not cope with the levels of immigration we have seen. Try retaining an NHS midwife for your whole pregnancy and birth and you'll see what I mean. There are many many examples of not enough funding relating to the influx, and it is an influx!And for the other happy quoter of me, 'don't they pay taxes'? Well I suppose the majority who are tax registered do. A good portion of the rest of their wages will be wired over to Poland or wherever to the rest of their family resides. What's missing from this whole debate is why do we live in a society where welfare is doled out carte blanche and the gaps filled in by economic migrants. Can't UK born and bred dole spongers get these jobs and pay taxes, why do we have to support all this?
