In countries where free speech is non-existent (read most, if not all Muslim countries here) the mullahs and their subjugated followers now have free reign here because they are a minority and should be heard. We on the other hand simply can't speak for fear of being shouted down, summonsed or even death threatened because we've dared speak our mind against a monotheistic faith that doesn't allow free speech... anyone else see the Irony?
It's this double standard that any self respecting and educated person can see straight through...

There's nowt wrong with Muslims, its the ***** that we need to worry about...
...and they're hiding behind Christian, Catholic and Muslim religions... lets not go leaping back to the stone age, lets identify the trouble makers and remove them from society first!

Gathering them together and napalming the b@stards would be a good move and leave very little mess to clear. It's all attention seeking tw@ts with Napoleon Syndrome who want their fifteen minutes of fame. Ultimately it's their loss but they're too narrow minded to see it.

I remember hearing James Whale on Talk Sport Radio saying "not every muslim is a terrorist, but every terrorist is a muslim". Now i know its not 100% accurate but ******* hell it aint far off. When i saw those ******* on the news chanting in the street demanding she be shot or be-headed, well it just confirmed that they are ******* terrorists and that is what there religion promotes.

I'm the first to admit that many evil acts (now and throughout history) have been committed in the name of religion. However, it's often certain people's interpretation of that religion which causes these acts, not the religion itself.
It's a tad unfair to make sweeping statements condeming followers of religion, when in fact, most religious followers probably do lead peaceful lives, having their belief and hurting nobody in the process.
I know there is alot of tension of late, but there is no need to tar everybody with the same brush. Also consider, how many commit evil acts, while not following any religion at all.

So typical that you assume I'm religious, which I'm not. I am just open minded enough to see that not everything bad in the world is down to religion, and that just as many, if not more, evil acts are at the hands of people without religion.
I must admit, that I can't personally recall the last time someone directly tried to throw religion down my throat, not that I'm saying it doesn't happen.

I think mild religion is ok. As long as you follow the law first, and religion second. It shouldnt control your life, but just be there for you to call upon if you need 'strength'.

I am not getting drawn into this, but feel I must say. What the hell is going on.
They come over here and tell us our beliefs offend them. Well, err, don't come here then. Go elsewhere. What has happened to that teacher, is beyond belief.
I will never stop wearing my cross and doing all the things I have done all my life and if THEY can't accept it, tough tittie. PC, pah
Oh and I got a rather good joke, by text tonight
I recently bought a teddy bear for a tenner. I named it "Mohammed" then sold it for twenty quid.Have I made a prophet

ALL religions cannot stand up to logical, close scrutiny. The only way that the mono-theistic ones can survive is by the threat of something nasty happening to you if you don't believe. Some of the torment, eternal damnation and suffering I'm expecting would look good in any horror film.... but triple the evil by teaching this to kids...
The Church of England was such a religion as was (and probably is) the Catholic religion.
I think any God (if one such existed) would be disgusted at the way peaceful religion and enlightenment has been twisted in such an evil way... how can any sane person believe that God would want his 'creations' to murder and hate one another for not believing in their particular God or their interpretation of his supposed peaceful teachings????
Thank God for Atheists is all I can say....

You have to understand the way that those who follow a religion actually think rather than the extremists who use the religion for their own ends, before you start slagging them off.

Les. Of course it's occured to me. I have neighbours who are religious and are simply some of the nicest and friendliest people I know.
But we're talking about those who've twisted the peaceful teachings these people live by. Fundementalists have sold out their own religion. They've turned their religion into a laughing stock and something to be feared and dreaded rather than respected or tolderated.
I'm quite entitled to slag those people off who make our lives a misery. This obviously excludes those who don't.
If these people want to shout out their religion then they should expect someone to shout back.
The problem we're seeing is that they are happy to shout in my face and try and force their views on me, but they don't like what they hear back and are threatening to kill those they diagree with...

Jesus Christ!
Some of you people need to go on anger management courses and start thinking.
All of you who are essentially saying that all Muslims are evil, that they should be nuked etc etc could do worse than read a bit about Christian sects (e.g. many of the ones in the USA). Many of them share similar views with their Muslim counter parts, e.g. the feeling that they need to rid the world of evil (i.e. convert or kill non-believers).
Now, given that these sects exist in America, does that mean that we should nuke America as well? Or is it different because they're Christians and you know that not everyone who is brought up in a mainly Christian country wants to kill all non believers? (something you seem incapable of grasping when it comes to Islam)
I've worked with many a muslim (and continue to do that to this day), most of whom been keen to go to the mosque for Friday prayers. They are all sensible enough, and not one has tried to kill me yet, or convert me for that matter (who'd have thunk it, eh!?)!
My point here is that, yes, there are weirdo's in all walks of life, but that doesn't mean that the great majority share their views (Christian or other). (And I certainly don't share your views to stop aid etc because of this - that's just daft. It would hit the poor people, not the ones who were at the demonstrations (I think it was a pre-arranged demonstration anyway, what with all pre-printed banners etc)).
Quite honestly, you come across like a bunch of uneducated meat heads. Is this place turning into some white power board now, or what?
