Well people, we didn't have to go too far to find the right place.. Pub No 2 on the list and Bingo... the place had everything...
  • Great selection of food which was fantastic for the price (6oz Gammon steak, Egg, Chips, Peas and tomato for £3.99)
  • The service was exceptional and very quick and the staff were utterly brilliant and very welcoming.. (Mark had an unexpected refund of £6 after they were accidentally overcharged.. they had no idea either... top stuff). They were more than happy to accommodate us.
  • Food ordering until 9pm
  • Good beer selection
  • Pool table
  • Wacky Warehouse type Kids play area. The pub is very family orientated and the kids had a ball...
  • Big TV
  • Video type Games galore
  • Secluded area that will be reserved and sectioned off for us
  • Fantastic beer garden with a brilliant play area and patio heaters
  • Go Kart track...
Santa looked a little dodgy, but Xmas will be over soon and he'll be back in the home for the bewildered....

All this with great prices too... Debs said her round was pretty much half the price of the round in the Rhubarb Triangle....

Shame Andy AET and Scooby Stu missed out on the night... but for those others not able to make it, I believe we've done you proud..

So, I'll put a sticky at the top of the forum announcing the new club venue and details.... we just need to work out a decent drive in and meeting points for the Wakefield and Leeds convoys...

Next proper EOM meeting will be there on the 31st Jan, but we'll probably have one or two impromptus there in between.....

Any questions... just ask in here...

Well said Alan, The quiter place for the waki n leeds convoy to meet could be thornes park? Big car park and usualy quiet. The leeds convoy could meet at colton behind Mcdonalds on stile hill way as it has a long stretch of rd which is quiet just before bullerthorpe lane (that quiet I normally go there for a cig when workin)

Thanks mate. I did consider the Holmfield Arms for the wakefield meet as most people know where that is and it's easy to get to and we can go several ways to get to The Ship... Don't know the other area... but I'm sure people will agree or suggest something different..

Yup plenty of parkin there, not sure of anywhere else in leeds other than farsley way which would take people directly to the M62

For Leeds The Brickworks would still work well. It's just above Birstall which you can pass through to get to The Ship, and right next to the M62. Anyone in south or west leeds would have a much bigger journey to get north to Colton, only to come back down and pass The Bricky en-route.

Usually wait in the cul-de-sac opposite on busy evenings, or abuse their car park on early morning meet-ups.
