But then we went out and emulated him on Choppers!

I have a picture of me in 1977 in full Evel Knievel costume for the fancy dress street party for the Queens Jubilee

I thought I was 'him' too back then, and as others me on my Drifter were unstoppable and invincible, no jump too big or small, usually made from big sheets of wood and as many bricks as we could pinch

Im sure that you can still buy the bike. Its a bit of a disappointment though: or at least it was, in the 1970s... I wonder if Im the only person to be injured by one of these and still bear the scar today?
