It wouldn't surprise me. Good point, I'm sure certain families won't be able to keep this up and may have to sell their cars and relay on the unrelayable public service system.

well luckily crude is off from highs down to $89 a barrel today so should ease the pumps a little over the next few weeks 'in theory', if it stays down there until end of december, you should see prices fall back to 95p region for normal unleaded.

Well said Micky. If the whingers can`t afford to buy petrol , Then sell the bloody car and shut up !. I hope they keep the price of petrol high and then more poor people will sell their cars and walk and so the roads will become quieter and have less traffic on them = RESULT . The price of fuel will remain high until it runs out in about 2016 ( I think thats the prediction ?.) so seriously folks get used to it , moaning will do no good whatsoever . If you can`t afford to run a Scoob you`ll have to buy something to fit your budget , thats the simple truth. Public transport is non-existant now everywhere apart from towns and cities so the city dwellers will have to walk and the rural types will have to keep their cars or starve.

The problem we hav is the government know we all need fuel for our cars. So they will put as much tax on as they like so they hav more money to go on their holidays and to spend on imigrants.
The Government try to get us to use public transport, but it's absolutely rubbish and they know that because they want us to use are cars so they get more money from the fuel tax. Now the cost of fuel has gone over the pound mark it will go higher and higher until there are some sought of protests. The government encourage use to use eco fuel like that biofuel. Once people start using that and that will go up in price as well because the government will make profit out of it.

Now that Australia has ratified Kyoto and there are 140 politicans from around the world currently meeting in Bali to discuss "measures" to "combat" climate change, you will see ever more colourful taxes being dreamed up to assis with the "fight"!

That is not correct, especially as there is prospectively a find 6x the size of the North Sea offshore Russia (Barrents Sea)

so do you really think it is just the petrol prices that go up,thats being a little stupid. If the trucks need to pay more for diesel to transport everything, then they will past the cost on to there customers who will pass it on to us. So ur weekly shop will be up in price as well. Along with everything else you buy that gets delivered by truck, which is nearly everything .
