Croneygate, wassat then? Are we talking about the downfall of Scoobysport 1, or the Broquet Saga, or something else?
I do recall the legendary Broquet "debates" (I think that's the most polite term I could use), think I might have been a tad vocal seeing as I actually used them unlike some others who said they did nothing.
I also recall the Bedford 13 thing. It was interesting to see how someone could be banned, or their forum name at least, from a track because they made comments on an internet forum. The whole "how do they know a real persons name from their forum name" thing added to the intrigue. One of the links for anyone curious, and I think this is where it all got started, there is a response from JP on there.

I still have two of the dam things sloshing about in the petrol tank of my old jag, but not for one second has it tempted me to run a 12.5:1 compression engine on 95ron on stock ignition timings. God forbid the poor old p1 being such a victim.

Great suggestions guys! ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Most of them were already in or planned, but I'd completely forgotten about a few of them!![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
It has to be said, writing this book is like therapy! When I first started, I was being very careful not to offend anyone I was writing about. Now I'm at the stage where its just the plain cold truth, take it or leave it!![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
What has been great as well, has been going over the various steps of the running process. Many decisions we took were inspired, many foolish, some just plain lucky. But, nevertheless, the formula was successful, and while we came through some pretty rough times, overall I think we did a good job, and I'm proud of what we achieved. Its interesting in hind-sight to look at each decision and now, with the passing of time, being able to see how it affected things positively or negatively.
Of course, some of these decisions were public knowledge, but some were obviously made behind closed doors (or locked pub doors!), so its great to be able to finally spill the beans!
