Yes it does. I can pull away from a standard R1 on the straight.

Your scoob does a 10 second quarter? That pretty good going!

But on the other hand it probably cost you several 10's of thousands to get there.. Spend 2k on the R1 and it will be showing you 8 second quarters.

Pauls scoob has ran mid 9's My scoob has ran 9.1 with a 161mph terminal speed, you could probably buy either of them as they sit for close to the price of a new Sti.

Factory quote is just over 10 seconds but I've seen pleanty run in the 9's with just a different can and some decent tyres.. Start playing with the engine and weight saving and im sure you could shave a second or so off.

To get a 9 second quarter on a bike takes some doing - only a highly competant rider could hope to do that, shaving a second off from 9 seconds would take a damn sight more than a few bolt on mods - i may be wrong though.

It would take more than that to lose a second at this level.

You would be looking at a 40/50 shot of Nitrous, clutch, tyre and swing arm extension I would guess. So yes it probably could be done for around £2k Not sure what they handle like with the long arm though

I agree it would be pointless, but it is possible.. Personally I've never really seen the point in the whole 1/4 mile thing.. A car/bike should just be fun and within your own limits which is why I dont own an R1 because I'd kill myself I'll stick with its little brother

I know that I could beat an R1 in a Subaru if I was riding the R1 especially in the wet.

Look fella, no offence intended but it really isn't serious, and tbh if you don't like it or don't see the point then don't read it, let alone post, why bother????

Suzuki Hayabusa 0 to 60 mph = 2.8 seconds, 0 to 100 mph = 5.5 seconds. That's is the performance straight from an unmodified version. Some of the first shape Busa's are limited to 186 mph. Lets start with a fair competition
500 bhp turbo Busa vs 500 bhp turbo Scooby = Hayabusa 3 - 0 Scooby.

Thats pretty rubbish really

My scoob runs from 0-130 in 5.9 at the 1/8th mile marker Its also limited to 210.2 mph by gearing

Is that the score 2 - 0

(runs for cover )

So you've seen 210.2 mph???? I'm pretty sure your car is limited by its Areodynamics not the gearing

Well it was available distance that limited it actually, the runway was only 1.4 miles long, on the datalog when I lifted off it was still accelerating at 1mph per second but I was almost on the rpm limiter anyway

Standing quater mile in 9.9 seconds, and the terminal speed is 140 mph. Remember this is from an unmodified bike. Also the Busa has only 175 bhp and total dry weight is 215 kg and this is not the latest Busa.

I can only guess I'm afraid as I don't like running them on rolling roads.

Seriously I mean no offence when I say.. Stop kidding yourself! There is no way on gods earth a 700bhp Impreza could break 200mph.. The laws of physics deem it impossible.. I'd say you'ed need a good 300-400bhp more to get close to 200..

At speeds like that the amount of power required to go 1mph faster becomes exponential.

I.e. 180mph may be achievable with 700bhp, but you'll be nigh on doubleing that to see 200 unless the car has been seriously changed areodyanmically.

Well a turbo'ed Busa with for example 500 bhp will destroy your car grins.

The problem with the bike is traction, it will wheelspin like mad on the road with that power and if you should find enough traction it will just lift the front.
You need a fully prepped dragstrip and a stretched swingarm to get the numbers out of them.
The scoob on the other hand has 4wd and finding traction or pulling wheelies is not such a problem

Its the same speedtrap set up they use for car and bike events including TOTB. The datalog was within 2mph of the speedtrap.
Do you really think that if it gets to 160 in 9 seconds it couldn't reach 210 ?

tbh Davey i know this Andy F chap has one seeeeeeeeeeriously fast motor, hence why i don't take this bike v car thing too seriously.

Surprised you never rolling road it to gauge actual bhp though Andy, or is it just a case of if it goes better than before then thats a mod worth having?, i don't doubt you do 200mph but i am surprised as scooby aren't exactley slick are fella.

Am sure 180mph is acheivable with alot less than 700 bhp in a scoob, (maybe not within a 1 Mile TV run) An evo FQ400 can do 178mph, Pretty sure my scoob would be nudging an FQ400 all the way up the road.

Here is something else that defies aerodynamics and will beat most bikes
