The fairings of the Hayabusa were designed for aerodynamics too. TTS will fit a supercharger, exhaust and other minor tuning bits to it, so will produce 250 bhp at the rear tyre therefore will do a standing quarter in 8 sec. They didn't mention changing major engine parts.

The rollers can't load the engine like it would be on the road, on a high hp turbo car once it comes on boost it just shoots forward, rollers hold it back regardless of torque and hence impose unrealistic loadings. If you tune to these confines you get a slower car.
I measure 70-130 in 3rd gear in 10mph increments, if it improves, the mod stays on

Do some of you guys not know anything about Andy F's history, or Pavlo's (Zen Performance)? They are NOT backyard amateurs Their cars are hardly standard to say the least but the numbers are real.
I enjoy these bike vs cars debates but it's ultimately an invalid comparison. In standard road trim, a big bike with a good rider will mash any standard road car you're ever likely to meet, and under almost all circumstances.
But push it to the ultimate and no MotoGP bike could get anywhere near an F1 car, not even a tail-end Charlie
Richard.

So to summerise. From the factory a std bike is faster than a std car but the more money you spend the bigger the gap becomes, car ultimately being faster whether it be in a straight line or on a circuit

This is a nice one, production car V bike.
I think the only time the bike has a look in is when the car brake lights are on Check out the difference in acceleration out of a corner

thats the vid i was looking for. These dbates are kinda pointless and i think andys quote above sums it up.From the factory a std bike is faster than a std car but the more money you spend the bigger the gap becomes, car ultimately being faster whether it be in a straight line or on a circuit. But then someone always comes along with "but what about an enzo/r1/veyron/busa turbo/f1 car/moto gp bike/rocket powered sled etc" one of those things that nobody will ever agree on

At those speeds areodynamics is the main factor and the Subaru isnt exactly famous for low drag co-efficients...

Christ that made me laugh.
A second opinion ? Just ask some of the thousands of people that were there to see it for themselves.
Research your marque fella
Being a 500bhp scoob owner and a GSXR 1000 owner too i have a good perspective on this. The bike is quicker than the car on a straight. On the twisties the car would murder it.
£ for £ the bike wins everytime.
10 second 1/4 mile bike for £5K - plenty around look in autotrader.
10 second 1/4 mile scooby for £5k- if only it was that cheap!!!!

You are taking the results of one piece of timing gear.. How do you know the gear is accurate.. Would you trust a single R/R result over all others??? I'm more talking about the physics of the matter not what you saw a little LCD display tell you.. Think about it.
Does anyone know the DCE of an Impreza by any chance?

There are other subarus and Evos that run around 196-204mph top speed. My car is approx 10-15mph faster than them at the end of the 1/4m so it doesn't seem too far fetched that it tops out some 5-10mph higher.

A few years ago I seriously questioned the possibility of any Scoob ever cracking 200mph. Aerodynamics and all that. I was wrong, but at least I listened, looked and learned
BTW, since when have bikes had good aeros? They're rubbish to start with, and hopeless when the rider is hanging their fat **** off.
Richard.

i'd almost agree and say who ever is willing to spend the most money in the pursuit of ultimate speed will win, the possibilities aren't endless but they aren't far off.

+10mph at 200mph equates to like an extra 200-300bhp... Air resitance up at those speeds is like trying to sprint through custard.

Here are the calculated values for the scooby/evo assuming mph is proportional to the cube root of power.
This relates to the top speed achievable on a 1.3/1.4 mile runway, unlimited space may result in a higher figure.
Many of these figures are backed up with actual measured values at top speed days/ totb.
bhp mph
160 125
220 139
300 154
340 160
380 166
420 172
480 180
520 184
550 188
600 193
650 199
700 204
750 209
800 213
850 217
900 222
I might add that the 210mph was achieved a few years ago now and I've gained quite a few bhp and shed a few Kgs since then

So it's fair to assume that your car is pushing around 900?
Do you have any pics of your car as it stands now? The last time i saw you car it was going backwards at 130 at Elvington

lol, I don't know, you tell me
RCMS were dyno'd at 850bhp
Norris at 940bhp
RC developments at 1004bhp
and its quicker than all of them !
I'd estimate that way back then it was around 750bhp.
