The WYIOC DVD

Obviously it goes without saying the car HAS to be clean for the close up footage. I'll even polish up the body work if I have to so long as its been washed and dried properly.

Right, I've sorted the plan for the intro, 3 hours to work out a 3 minute video intro I've got a selection of music to try out and see how it works with the planned footage. The hardest part is the beginning of it, once this is done and edited properly it'll be just about ready. But you'll have to wait for the dvd to see the intro.

Cool, thanks for the offers guys Depending on what my mate says I may need one of each. The bit of the intro this is for is only 1m 30secs so its gonna be tight. The only other thing I can think of is if people want a slightly longer intro and use more cars.
As said before, any car used will get a polish as long as they are clean.

After speaking to my mate at length about this project, somethings have been laid out for the initial close up part of the intro:
These are the recommendations that my mates has put forward and he knows what he's talking about.
The location/background may be changed as finding somewhere pretty much totally dark so I can set up lighting will be impossible. I'll have a think about places best to do it, though if anyone knows of a place thats in ruin and fairly accessible then let me know
- As I've said already, the car HAS to be as clean as possible
- No dark colours - Black, Gun Metal etc It hides the details of the car and the lighting will highlight inperfections in the paint. Though I will give it a go if I can because the location may be changing.
- Unfortunately, no decals - If the close up was on a car with decals, then the camera has to be focused to the decals and not the car.
- The car would have to be available for pretty much a full day, some shots will need upto 6 takes at a time to get right.

Imperfections in the paint? Has a telly been produced with such a high resolution?
I'll have a think about locatons....
Though one place springs to mind immediately...

Intro:
Car is sorted
Location is sorted
I'll be talking to both parties about arranging the date to do the filming. Though it will more than likely be after christmas and new year.
Once the date is sorted I'll let people know if they want to come and help out. This can also be a great opportunity to get some new photos done for the profiles on the DVD slideshow!
On another note, my mate at MTV is sorting the music out, even going as far as to create one part of the music himself! (He was in a band a few years ago) Watch this space!
