I plough a lot of time and money into my '73 GT6 to make it as emissions friendly as possible with regular tune ups. And my cars were made to last! My '66 Triumph 2000 is still original and still plugging along clean. Mostly made of steel and wood, seats and trim of leather. Only a small amount is plastic, especially compared to a modern car! Weighs in at 1100kg, so not heavy compared with a car of the same size today. Crash it and it can usually be repaired, not just thrown away like modern cars. Theres a lot to be said for classic cars, they arent just smokey old bangers draining the worlds resources! Most run cleaner than a modern chelsea tractor anyway!

I alwasy vote, but I imagine it would be difficult for most working folk. However, the unemployed have no problem voting the Labour shower in.
I have seen some straw clutching in my time, but this is as bad as it gets.

The polling stations open at 7:30am and close at 10pm, there are postal votes and even votes by proxy so I really can't see that this argument holds any water whatsoever. The majority of people can vote quite easily.

The real problem is there is no one to vote for so we end up with a 'better the devil you know' situation and a large number of people not even bothering to vote. Do we really think 'Dave' would be any better? It's bloody sad

"Several EU proposals across the years are dangerous to the classic car movement. One that has been under consideration is to ban the use of cars older than 10 years. Similarly, Edinburgh City Council is considering the banning of cars over 15 years old from the town centre. These, and similar, proposals directly threaten the classic car movement, and encourage the manufacture of new cars, with the attendent environmental issues of sourcing raw materials, manufacturing, distriuting and scrapping the spiralling supply of new vehicles."
I thought the Scots were so mean, ALL their cars are more than 15 years old!

[Only jesting! Honest!!]

Hence the 2 winkies

Problem with our polling stations is they are in the scummiest parts of town, may try a post vote next time.

I agree with your last point though.
