Do you drink a lot at home??......

I think its normal now to drink at home during the week.
My parents never did it but that was probably more down to cash flow than anything else but me and my Mrs drink most nights, bottle of wine and maybe a few Stellas.
Dont get blind drunk unless its a special occassion like a Friday.........

I purposefully dont buy beer or jack daniels anymore because if its there, I will drink it.
I had a slight issue with this when I was 17 or so, and it took me a couple of years to get right again.
Now I dont put temptation in the way.
If I go out for a beer thats fine, just cant be doing it every night.

Question for the tee-totallers:
Is there any non-alcoholic drink that exists with some taste thats not sickly sweet and full of sugar/sweetner ?
After three pints of coke/britvic/whatever I'm so edgy and jittery that I question my driving abilities. Which is a bit of an issue seeing if I'm in pub/club not drinking alcohol - It's because I'm driving.
Water is not an option

Loads of booze at home that said, i hardly drink
i have the odd glass of barcardi once in a while, or the odd beer (which i drink even less)
had a spate a few weeks ago where i drank a cider or a wiesbeer on a Sunday evening, but couldn't finish the beer, wasn't really my thing.
we've got unopened bottles of rum, whiskey (SM) schnapps etc, how long will they keep for? opened or unopened?

I never used to... always out wining & dining, for the past year or so I've began to have the odd tipple on an evening... however, this has now turned into a 'nightly' thing...
Should I consider 'upping' this curve and look to start teaching myself how to play the penny whistle as well as buying a scrawny mutt... so when the times right I can sit in shop doorways with my can of special brew!
Or am I alright, albeit slightly overdoing things...??

Personally I dont drink at home..... My wife likes a glass of wine or two a night but I never bother. When friends come round something changes in my head and i'm gagging for a social beer, then when they leave the left overs wait till the next time they come round again.

I make a conscious effort not to drink in the week, fuzzy head and empty wallet helps quash the urges. Come the weekend a box of wine and a few cans will easily be consumed at home, sometimes the weekend starts Thursday if its been a bad week.
Im also a lone drinker advocate, maybe its being an only child, comfortable with ones own drunken company. There would have to be some kind of gaming involved or a great movie to veg out too!

it seems that xbox live and drinking go hand in hand !!!!
i do remember finishing a bottle of red off during Call of Duty and was all over the show (nothing new there then....)
i dont drink much at home, only with a nice meal or company....
i dont even bother crossing the road to the local in this cold weather....!!!
will have to "get on it" over xmas though
