Not really a knee jerk SN post
Paul has highlighted the fact that a man who battered his GF got 20 weeks in prison and let out on early release under the new scheme (we have no room so you can go home now thanks) and that a woman got 18 months for benefit fraud
20 weeks for battering a girlfriend
12 months for causing a non fatal RTA (from another thread on here)
18 months for benefit fraud
Utter joke

The main body of it is the massive 'early release', not the initial sentence which, I agree, was pathetic.
Violenct crimes in this country are largely ignored and you can get more for relatively minor things.

On a serious note, would the victim have been told of his early release? even if it was only two days....

No.
It's usually only in the very nasty cases that familes/victims get notice.
So, the poor woman's family will find out in x years that he's been released early again..........

Wasn't mocking - just pointing out its lack of balance.
We can all post 'facts' and back them up with news reports that aren't balanced. SN to a tee.
And what NL got to do with it? If I vote for them that's my business, not that I will. But they were voted in so are the voice of the people apprently, leaving you in the minority p:

You implied I read the Daily Mail and watch Trever McDoughnut, I do neither
Perhaps you should have said it lacked balance and pointed out where, as I dont do any of the above I don't actually have a clue what you mean
