The figures really make interesting reading ..... for those interested in reading them and not spouting polictical crap ................

Like I keep repeating - it is an OPTIONAL tax, you do NOT have to pay it or you don't have to pay what you do - you can reduce it tomorrow!

I might agree with you about Jaqui Smith, but I dont agree that just because someone has been a primary school teacher that that should disqualify them from a big job in government.

The staring fact remains ....... it is an optional tax!!

Pay it, don't pay it, pay lots, pay little ...... free country gives you the choices.

It's like moaning that you had Shredded Wheat this morning when YOU chose the cereal

Optional tax that sounds a good idea you pay what you think is appropriate for the job the government do

ohh ill tell ya something.i had to be in work for 4 am.i decided too jump the cemetary wall and cut across..now theres this path that cuts right across the cemetary, and so i started walking.after a few minutes i could see the gates the otherside, and then after turning back round to look forward again,i seen the outline of two figures or people..just walking straight towards me..they must of been about 7 to 8 ft tall it was the shape of a human body but totally black..i say human but theres no one i know who lives round here that tall, and they were both exactly the same height the two of them..i didnt run straight away because i crouched down to have a look..but then they were getting nearer..i tell u something i ran faster than me scoob could pull off and almost jump the cemetary wall in one go..

I've just bought a mk3 gti 16v for the g/f but I seem to be driving it a lot more than my Impreza. I was after a tdi, but the ones I wanted were at least £500 more than I was willing to spend. Given the insurance quotes were nearly the same the only differences in price would be fuel. I'd have got around 550 in the tdi to a tank before light came on, it's quite a bit over 300 in the gti. Not a major difference in fuel costs considering the tdi was half as expensive again to buy, diesel is more expensive. The tdi had no leather heated seats, alloys, cd multi, air con, elec mirrors and roof. Not to mention a dog slow ride and crap handling in comparison

If we pay for our Barrel of OIL in Dollars (DOLLARS) and the exchange rate is ($2 to the Pound) why hasnt the price of Fuel gone down. It has got to cheaper now than its ever been.

They are making a mint out of the extra VAT as you well know. And it is really going to the top heavy and beaurocratic administration they have installed in order to buy more votes, and who invent targets to hinder the efforts of those at the sharp end of the NHS, to lower the standards of education so that school leavers can hardly communicate let alone read and write properly, and have you not noticed that they have so generously increased the pension payable to those over 80 by ONE penny! Even the pensions minister was embarassed to talk about that!

Target driven organisations are instituted by those who are incompetent at running them and who are unable to trust the workers to do the job on their own account. This is non productive and does not encourage workers to take a pride in their jobs.

Also, you failed to mention the Gold Reserves and how Gordon sold them to the Gypsies - you are slipping!

Spend your penny wisely my old friend ..... I'll think of you as I eat my 1p Fruit Salad sweet
