It wont blow out...... no matter how much boost you are running when the throttle is open all the pressure is going into the throttle body, come off the throttle and the pressure is relieved either through the resurculating valve or a vta.... could prob just poke the probe in the pipe and not worry about it,i just added a blob of silicone to be certain.

i have my standard air temp sensor on my car (near air filter) and it also shows up on my power fc, but the re-fresh rate is very slow. it is in hole degrees C like yours.
wonder why the re-fresh rate is so slow, it will got hot in traffic, but take a long time to cool down.
the sensor is next to the air filterin the inner wing (asp caik)

What was the sensor like, did you just slip it under the throttle body hose?
Cheers,
Tony.

those are identical kits to the maplins kit, only the maplins one doesnt light up,will have to check the wiring booklet it came with to see if it can,the maplins one, if wired up too, can display the time also at the push of a button, plus loads of other features, alarms etc, but these need adding on.

No idea how much an STi3/4/5 sensor costs from the dealer but it won't be cheap. Try a scrappies and make sure you get the plug and a short bit of wiring with it.

Heh, I tried getting a new one via swedish dealer/garage and also a good tuner. It's off their map as nobod sold classic shape STi's in Sweden ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Sourced one from UK now![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm sure I'll be in touch when I can't figure out where to put the wire....

Before that I had the one from Maplins which was less than £10 and it is still working. Only problem is the one from Maplins said on the box it can cycle every 1 second or 7 seconds. This wasn't true, it was set as it came from the factory at 7 seconds and couldn't be changed.

yeah, the maplins one is more for electronic nerds so to speak LOL.
you can do a hell of alot with it, but it requires wires being solderd on etc and beepers etc adding, but it is capable, the cycle refresh needs,as has been said, a wire joinin pin 1 and 8 i think it is together.
