yep you dont buy a scooby to worry about fuel, But it would be nice to get some miles out of it... MY99 pops and bangs all day long with a Full Decat 3" with remap and superchip installed and i love the sound. Just need to see some flames out of it lol

Quite often pops and bangs are a result of small leakages in the exhaust system or headers.
When you throttle off unburnt fuel goes into the exhaust system...this is normal.
Normally when there is no small leaks off throttle the mixture is to rich to "pop and bang".
When there is small leaks that allows air into the exhaust thus allowing the mixture to enter its flamable zone and go "pop and bang".
Is it a stainless system newly fitted?....as they are usually hard to get sealed correctly around the joints with the usual clamps you get with them.
I use 3"bike exhaust clamps which seem to provide an even pressure all the way around the joint.
Anyway pops bangs and flames rule!
Hope this helps

In my experience of exhaust's popping it was usually down to a slight air leak up at the front end of the exhaust system.
My RA used to pop quite well until I had a complete RCM system fitted...now it's very quite...or is it just that the motors running correctly.
How I would love anti lag fitted...then you can pop with style....it can't come soon enough!!!
