I do like the sound of the Type 25 400+bhp. What other models come close to that sort of power as standard?
i found myself in the same position as you 18 months ago
looked at various models and specs
nothing new out of the box did it for me
tested a type 25 but £45K
then out of the blue i found just the right thing (see profile)
looking forward to some track use next year
if i were still looking i think it would have to be S204
and some deep pockets

Robin, still think your car is ace mate

I had to get rid of my GB270 spoiler though, I didn't think it was right for the car.

And you! I'll post some pics in the new year once I've done the prodrive springs.

I think with 18" wheels you need a spoiler, but with the standard silver 17" wheels it looked a bit odd to me.

Yes I can understand where you are coming from, maybe stupidly I got the 18" PPF7's as my WR1 had them and I didn't want this car to be 'less' than the '1' if that makes sense.

Look forward to the pics in the New Year

Finally found someone with a Typre 25. Took it for a little test drive today, a reslly nice car. But too extreme for road use. I was really tempted though.

Where was it?

Sounds like you want an S204 . It feels like an rs4 on the inside with the matt black dash and bespoke carbon fibre recaro leather seats ,but has that impreza buzz factor that no other car can offer.

Spec C Type RA
ST204
RA-R

In that order but the above are extremely rare which is why I think the best package on the market is/was the Type 25, you got a great car to start with and then Litchfield/Powerstation took the car to another level.

If the others above were more accessible then I would probably say the RA-R as the ultimate.. imagine tuning that even further - ballistic

I've driven it as a A-line, Sti and Spec C. I have found the T25 Drove lovely and very controlable Power, Ok with the Cosy put your foot to the Metal and 20 sec's later your in a different Unirverse

The handling and Comfort on the Hawkeyed T25's is much improved over the MY05's. The Spec C is slightly more hard core by nature

I did test a RA-R with Jap Coilovers on it. On a UK B roads I couldn't get over 50mph as the wheels wern't on the deck long enough to get any grip

IMHO

It would have to be an S204 for me. They are pretty hard to get hold of though. Never seen one for sale.

Just been out in a RB320, and I think I'm in love. What a smooth car, loads of pwoer as standard, really diriverable and comfortable ride to boot. I just may have to get my wallet out.
