I actually know a few people from work who have taken out loans from these muppets. They think because they only have a £70k mortgage and their house is now worth £190k it is okay to take out a 30k loan and **** it away on a bmw x5 and a 2nd hand porche for the missus.

I`d much rather save for an item then pay for it outright. It may take longer, but it is immensely satisfying 
These adverts prey on the weakminded. I would much rather do without something than approach these kind of companies.

The ones I think are worse are where they use actors who appear like they have just been let out of the local special hospital - generally are ugly, with dull monotone voices. The psychology behind this is that people at home think 'I'm better than them, so I should get a loan at 300% APR from this company no problem'.
