Spool up is almost identical, torque also very similar but is achieved with slightly lower boost. Power is up by approx 20bhp over 5000 rpm.
The VF43 is actually a pretty good turbo, easily the best of the VF's.

On a 2.5 WRX for example then a 20G is an excellent upgrade but on a 2.5 Sti it is quite a small step up from the VF43, if you're serious go for a 321T and a set of 650cc injectors. 400/400 quite easily and at comparatively low boost.

If you don't optimise the control parameters its very easy on a 2 or a 3 port, to make too much boost and lose power at higher rpm.
Unfortunately not even with 95% wgdc would the boost stay up there towards 6000 tweaking both initial wgdc and turbo dynamics tables.

It is a great std turbo but asking miracles from it from a flow point of view just doesnt work.

Next step is something slightly larger.
